If texas doesn't get Saban, will they go for Malzahn?

Heard rumors that they might. We know they want a big name, and Gus has one a NC as an offensive coordinator and is having a lot of success at Auburn.

Obvious second choice.

Start at the top and work your way down.

Chizik won one as a HC. He's more qualified than Gus, IMO.

We all know one thing, they won't be going after Butch Jones.

I think they get Sumlin. A&M can't match what UT will pay him.

It's not like Mack Brown was a huge name before he was hired. Malzahn makes more sense to me than Saban, simply because of his youth. But I can't see that happening, either.

They have a better chance of getting Briles than they do Sumlin. That would also give them a chance to beat Baylor. :)

texas can buy out any coach no matter what his contract, so it really all depends on what coach will take the job and Ive been hearing Malzahn and Sumlin

His last 3 games are against teams currently 21-3. If he's competitive, or wins one or two, he's not going anywhere. The worse case is getting blown out 3 straight times, but I don't think this will happen.
