all that, Miles would never come to Alabama. He may troll the LSU AD for a bigger contract, but that would be the extent of his interest.
And our dumb arse AD would fall for it again

Would you have preferred your AD call his bluff? That would've been a disaster.

The better question is would Saban have left LSU to go directly to Alabama. Hell no he would not have gone.

You don't understand the process.

i wouldn't call les miles at arky a disaster for LSU.
Les would be horrible at arky. very little instate recruits for him and a program that isn't sailing along. He might actually do slightly better than bert because arkys running backs but in the long run LSU would more than likely come out in a much better position than arkansas.

Yeah genro, I would have preferred that our AD call his bluff. And, might be hard to believe, but I am a supporter of Coach Miles. I am just not a supporter of individuals (coaches, physicians, ditch diggers, etc) holding anyone hostage for an increase in salary. If someone wants to leave for another job, no matter the reason, then allow them to leave. Once they have started looking, they are no longer tied to your organization and will always have a wandering eye.

He's a great guy. But no.

No, not even as an assistant coach.

No.
I'd be pissed they passed over Kirby.

Best possible hire should be made. If they believe Smart is that guy, fine, but I hope he retains most of the current staff.
I would lock myself in my room and jack off to the headline for days. It would be worse than Muschamp.

No. I think the days of 2 loss National Champions has passed.

Several years ago, a friend asked me, "You mean that you would actually vote for Dan Quayle for president?" I replied, "Who's he running against, Ted Kennedy? Yes. Jesse Jackson? Hell yes."
It's all relative. Who else is available? Is Les Miles the ideal choice? No...but he's better than most of the coaches out there.

I don't think so. I like Les but there are too many top notch coaches out there that would be a better fit and would JUMP at a chance to come here.

I would be okay with Les Miles as HC at Bama

Are you trolling your own fanbase by getting Bama fans to talk shite about Les Miles?
Bravo, if so.
