No. Hell no.

Best possible hire should be made. If they believe Smart is that guy, fine, but I hope he retains most of the current staff.

If it is a Gary Patterson, a Chris Petersen, whoever, go with that. I personally don't think Miles would be our best case scenario to continue winning titles. Obviously he has more than the people I've named, but I don't think he'll coach us to another one.

God no, Miles is a good recruiter but he really isn't that sharp.

No. Seems like a great guy, very funny, but after the discipline of Saban (even when he makes a mistake)I don't think he would fit or meet our fans' expectations. Would rather have a beer with him than Saban, probably, but that is not enough.

Miles is a great recruiter in a state full of elite talent with no competition. He is a below average game day coach though. I'm not sure he could recruit at the level Alabama needs and there is no way our fans would have the patience for the gameday mistakes he commits on a nearly weekly basis.

i dont think your admin would have the patience for les miles.

also you would need to get use to your star players actually getting into trouble instead of having a coach in control that can fix issues.

Lots of Les haters up in here. It's hard to have the sustained success he's had and not be a really good football coach.

WOuld have been interesting to get their answers of Coach Saban when he was at LSU. I am willing to bet the answers would be sided to the no way in hell do we want him.

Idk, but it would answer a lot of unknown questions about Miles depending on how he did there...

More curiosity than anything on how he would do.

Then, quite obviously you were not a fan of Coach Bryant. I have been to LSU-Alabama games 17 times now where Alabama was the home team. I am still not sure what he is saying on the big screen. I think it is something about being a winner, but really not sure

Hypothetically yes. I have started to really like Les. One of my favorites.

nah i believe they wanted saban while he was here. saban was a extremely hot name. fwiw i believe if saban had coached at bama first won a title and went to the nfl and then we got him he would be doing just about the same thing here as he is now at bama.

He would be good for Bama as he is the ultimate authority on who you can and cannot make out with.

And Chicken would have never gotten filthy rich from the SEC Rant as it would have never got started because all these bandwagon script A's would not be posting here.

Full disclosure, when LSU hired Saban I thought that Big Ten guy would fail miserably...oops.

I'd take him.

Think about it. he does have a proven, although quirky at times, track record in the SEC.

Take for example Bielema at Arkansas. so far, terrible, yet was excellent in the B1G. it may change later, but that is a risk a school would take. With Miles, there would not be a risk.

all that, Miles would never come to Alabama. He may troll the LSU AD for a bigger contract, but that would be the extent of his interest.
