Btw, interesting question. IF Petrino was to leave, would the fan base accept Rich Rodriguez for dirt cheap prices if he's fired by Michigan?

I would prefer to go after a coach who uses a pro style offense and defense vs the highschool spread option.

The personnel on the hill is better suited for this style, other wise Michigan like struggles would almost be guaranteed.

Personally, I don't care about the style of offense, as long as it's successful. Urban Meyer ran a spread option, as does Chip Kelly, and they're both fantastic coaches.

Rich Rod was a good coach when he was at WVU. However, I'm unsure whether the majority of that success was due to Pat White and/or Steve Slaton. Nevertheless, interesting thing to mull over.

What other coaching options are there [relatively big name guys I mean]? Just trying to think of a list...Mike Leach, Randy Shannon, Mike Gundy, Tommy Tuberville, Kyle Whittingham, Gary Patterson, etc.

Most hog fans would push for Clint Conque, who has done great things with UCA.

He's won far more games as a college head coach than Malzahn, and doesn't have the shady recruiting tactics to worry about.

It is awesome people love our coach but he would not be doing all that he is doing to our program if he was going to just up and leave. Haters gonna Hate.

I'd LMAO if Petrino went to UF b/c I had to live in the God forsaken shite hole that is Little Rock for 2 1/2 years and had to deal with the most ignorant and delusional fanbase in the SEC at a nauseating level.

Actually, no. We're not going to win every game, every year. I'm well over losing the game.
I'd be more upset if I was a fan of a school winless in SECCGs and hasn't won a NC since the early 60s.

Yeah we will be ok but I think BP stays for what it is worth. I did not know but Petrino was offered the job before when Meyer flaked before and then decided to come back.

Actually, not at all. Why do you think i'm mad? I just like friendly and intelligent debate.

I'm a bit unnerved that there's an outside chance we have to sit through another coaching search, but the hogs will still be there when its over.
