Or any other midwest team the SEC will weaken simply because of recruiting, LSU and Bama have had greater success in states like Texas simply because Oklahoma is not able to recruit Texas anymore, this is a true stat here.
Between 2005-2007 OU signed 25 #OKPreps! only 25 players from their own state! in that same period they signed 25 from Texas as well. Between 2008-2015? 30, that same period they signed 90 kids from Texas which means they didn't even have to recruit any other state. In 2016 they just have one Juco Texas kid.
Oklahoma hasn't been one of the most successful cfb teams of all time because of Oklahoma talent its cause their pipeline in Texas has been as strong as Texas's in Texas.
Point is bringing Oklahoma to the SEC means less southern talent to go around, when (Texas) kids see they can go to Oklahoma and play SEC football they'll go there and in no time Oklahoma would dominate again

So by going to a different SEC team, that will weaken the SEC.

How so? Looks like OU is already filling up on Texas kids.

Outside of the SEC teams who are benefiting the most from this phenomenon that you've outlined (i.e. LSU, Bama), wouldn't the dispersal of Texas talent help most of the member institutions?

I thought you Aggies wanted teams from the SEC to dominate so you could claim indirect dominance?
Don't be so bitchy. Very unbecoming.

A+M would black ball them when the SEC voted.

The impact of Texas recruiting on Bama's success has been minimal at best. Successfully recruiting Florida has been a bigger factor (one which I hope does not change with their new coach), and Georgia is a big part of our recruiting. Texas has given us some nice additions but not to the point that I would say that OU taking Texas recruits would make an impact to us.

OU joining the SEC hurts A&M's recruiting most. Aggies predicted their admission to the SEC would hurt LSU's recruiting success there. How's that going for ya?
OU's pedigree and SEC affiliation is Aggy's worst nightmare. LSU and OU recruiting in TX as SEC members, things could get rough in CS.

As of 2015 Tcu and Baylor are better now...

lol Oklahoma beat Bama didn't they? you do realize Oklahoma's winning % is 7.18 good for 7th? by all means add them and add potential losses to everyone else, Oklahoma is as good there is a team in cfb.

I'm still confused how we jumped so quickly from OU's statement about wanting the Big 12 to add two more teams to OU joining the SEC.
Yes, OU's leadership is clearly frustrated, no, that doesn't mean SEC membership is imminent. Between the GoR that the Big 12 teams (hilariously) signed, the baby brother Okie Light that is stuck to OU like glue, the fact that the SEC probably wants to expand east rather than West, and the possibility that A&M and Mizzou might fight against the potential move are all pretty big hurdles.

btw I'm not just talking about recruiting alone, I'm talking about winning games, Oklahoma is better than a majority of the sec teams at any time, if you even added Baylor they would win 11+ every season, look at what TCU and Oklahoma did to the last sec teams they played.

Alabama has had the #1 ranked class the last eleventeen years in a row. Don't worry your head about our recruiting.

Yet you said

simply because Oklahoma is not able to recruit Texas anymore
And you are very wrong. Not trying to bust your chops brah, but don't post shite that isn't true. You will, and have, gotten called on it.

frick adding more teams. SEC needs to kick some teams out. Expansion has already ruined some good rivalry games between the original members like the Auburn and Florida series
