I think if you're IU, you at the very least make some guys like Gregg Marshall, Steve Alford, or Archie Miller tell you no.
Miller is about as low on the coaching totem the AD can go without seriously jeopardizing his job.

I think this is the job Marshall will actually take. They'll pay the 4.5-5M it will take.
I think the problem LSU is going to have is that the two most attractive mid major options are likely headed elsewhere as well.
Musselman to one of the west coast jobs, and Keatts to Illinois.
Maybe they could attract a guy like Holtman, but I kind of doubt that as well.

Kermit Davis. But, I think Crean is a player.

One of the WDRB guys here that covers the Hoosiers has essentially said the short list will be (in no particular order): Alford, Bennett, Donovan, Holtmann, Marshall, and Miller.
Miller isn't that far down the totem pole. He's about as solid as an up and comer as you're going to get without getting a big proven name.

I can't stop laughing every time I look at that picture. I just made it my background on my laptop for the remainder of the tournament. May as well get a good laugh every morning while logging in.

I'd streak to the PMAC rn if LSU landed crean. He might not be Indiana material, but he's LSU basketball material no doubt.
I'm okay with LSU's ceiling and just want to be a consistent tournament tea with a run every 3-4 years

I also would t put it past Crean to just sit out the year so that IU has to pay his full buyout.

I just love Crean for how fricking awkward he always seems in interviews.

SEC will be full of above average and above coaches.
Calipari, White, Pearl, Howland, Kennedy, Cuonzo, whoever LSU hires, etc.
Now, Bama needs to get one.

let's not forget his trademark blow-by handshakes after losses. Clappy at his finest.
