I say yes. Clappy is weird but I can see him bringing LSU sorta back. Better hire over Mizzou if it happens.

That would be intriguing. At the very least, I think the SEC is about ready to show the world that they can play some basketball too. Things are about to get really fun.

I can't see Clappy leaving IU, at least this year. He has three more years on his contract and has the solid backing of their AD.

IU fans are apoplectic that he's staying but that's their reality, according to their boards. Kind of warms my UK heart.

Man, if LSU hires Crean the SEC's coaching depth will be triple what it was 5 years ago.

Lol. You were mocking Mizzou for Crean a couple days ago. Get your story straight.

Wow. Thought they'd keep him one more year. They're not gonna like who they hire.

Lulz, Gregg Marshall? I think IU fans would Cream their pants. They are not getting Brad Stevens or Donavan.

someone in the SEC hire this man. I can't have these expressions and the butt cut disappear from the college basketball landscape.

Sounding like Tom Crean Mizzou bound. Gregg Marshall Indiana bound. (Rumor) Posted By WildcatMike

Mizzou would get the shitty end of that stick. Anyway, Clappy is going to drive you Mizzou folks crazy.

I'm actually surprised they did it this fast. I think he gets a $4,000,000 but it would have dropped to $1,00,000 on July 1st.

Further proof IU is still a destination basketball school

9 years at Marquette and took 5 of them to the NCAA and 3 to the NIT. Took the Golden Eagle to their first Final Four since Al did.

9 years at Indiana and took 4 of them to the NCAA and 1 to the NIT. Of those 4 NCAA teams he took three of them to the Sweet 16.

At Bloomington his job is on the line while at most other places he would be getting praise.

In 6 years Mike Davis took the Hoosiers to 4 NCAA's including the Championship Game and he still found an unemployed future.

Good illustration that Bloomington is the Lincoln, NE of college basketball.

Most buyouts are decreased by compensation the coach earns at another school. The difference is likely to be minimal.
