As a Titans fan I don't want him. But we all know he wants to be with MM and I think the Titans would probably give him a shot to see what he could do with MM.

Id be wary of any coach that needs a certain QB for his system to work. If MM goes down....

Give me Kirk Ferentz hell of a coach working with very little talent and still has his team in the top 5

Herman
Fuente
Scott Frost
Bill O'Brien
Jimbo Fisher
Dabo
Dan Mullen
Chip Kelly
Todd Monken
Larry Fedora
Coach O
Frank Wilson
Rich Rod
My top-5 realistic hires:
1) Chip Kelly
2) Herman
3) Scott Frost (Frank Wilson Asst. Head Coach)
4) Fedora
5) Fuente
You think LSU could hire Herman away from SCAR?
I doubt it.
By the time LSU makes up their mind about Les, Herman will have already been here recruiting and settling-in.
You're wasting your time and a pick by including Herman on your list.
But it does sorta feel good knowing how many other programs have Herman high on their lists.
Mizzou stands to be the most crushed.
If Chip Kelly is available he's going to SoCal.
Fedora or Fuente you could get.
Rich Rod would be dangerous at LSU.
You're not getting Mullen to leave MSU or Dabo to leace Clemson.
Is Bill O'Brien on the chopping block?

I don't think O'Brien is realistic tbh. His kid reportedly has health problems that require close proximity to a big time hospital.
Fedora or Fuente I can deal with that.

Wrong Kelly. Brian Kelly is the man.

Here's a question I don't think anybody has asked. Chip Kelly could be a realistic hire, and a home run hire to boot, but would he be hamstrung by the sorts of top-tier athletes he'll find in Louisiana? While there have been quite a few top-notch Athletes (note the capital 'A') in LA and he certainly won't hurt for speed, afaict Louisiana doesn't really produce the kind of small quick spread players that Kelly used to prefer. Some, certainly, just not in huge numbers. (Note the 'afaict' -- I'm just spitballing on my absolutely non-comprehensive analysis of LA's top players and HS teams. Correct me if you want. I won't feel bad.) I suppose he could raid Texas a lot. Texas HS football tends to produce players more in keeping with Kelly's Oregon teams.

Louisiana produces skill players.. of all types.. just not LBers or OL
Just looking at LSUs current roster.. we have several guys who would excel in that kind of offense.

Since the only huge OL name out of LA that I can name off the top of my head is CamRob, I can see your point.

Oh, as I said, LA does a top-notch job of producing Athlete sorts (even if they're not always officially classified as that). I'm wondering more about their experience with Kelly's style. I don't get the impression that a lot of LA high schools run a system like that.

I would take Less Miles over any of these guys

At this point, it'll be hard to drag a good, experienced coach to the toughest division in College football with really high expectations.

Dawson Odums??
he did win the SWAC west.
In the history of Southern University Football, only two coaches have conquered such feats as winning the SWAC West Title, SWAC Championship and being named SWAC Coach of the Year in their first full season as head coach. Current Head Football Coach Dawson Odums holds that unique distinction as he looks to take the program to even higher heights as he embarks on his fourth season at Southern University here on the bluffs of the Mississippi River in 2015.

I think L5U should give Orgeron the opportunity to extend his 8 game SEC losing streak. I believe that means he would start out owning the longest current losing streak.
