A&M - 12/21, 107 yards, 1/1

How is that even possible. I could have thrown for 150 yards vs A&M. Our D was sooooooooooo bad last year.

Remember too that 40 of those 107 yards were to one completion to Malichai Dupree in the 4th quarter

Have to agree,I find it difficult to believe LSU couldn't do better at the QB position

He's so damn good UNLV offered him twice - "what are the odds" that Vegas would be so sure of him?

Whatever metric every school in the country uses, only 3 offered McMillan.
He played on the same team as 10 other D1 prospects, with the most college ready receiver in the country Damarkus Lodge and every team in the country wants a Cedar Hill pipeline.
Dont get me wrong, everyone needs depth at the position and its best to get guys that won't scare off your primary targets, but please don't compare him to Drew Bree's.

What are you talking about? I used Drew as an example of how many of the larger programs overlook the best quarterbacks due to measurable's.

There's a reason he went to Purdue.

And ya know, with all those great players playing with McMillan; perhaps the Tigers appreciated how he simply put it in there hands and they made the plays. Or hell, after last year; our coaches may have been impressed with him simply knowing them all

I'd take Herb Tyler in a heartbeat these days.

McMillan didn't get looked over for measurables or lack of exposure like many kids. He simply is not very good, no offense. Like your tiger compadre said, you guys could/should have done much better. If it is the difference between Franks and a lesser QB this year though I get it, everyone needs depth that doesn't scare away top tier talent.

I have this weird notion. I actually prefer to see a player play a few games in the SEC before I get very excited about his abilities. This includes the highly rated or the last guy in the class.

Yes I realize the higher rated guys do better on average, but individually many do not pan out and some never play or contribute in a meaningful way.

On the flip side, "sleepers" can be non factors or play in the NFL.

Miles would prefer to play without a QB , if the opponent would agree .

He had 120-130 yards rushing against that D if I'm not mistaken.

I think you just call a spade a spade. He's a perma backup qb that Cameron could see serviceable with 2-3 years of work. Jennings will be back, so it doesn't matter anyways. In the event your school loses its top 2 qbs to injury, you're buck commander bowl bound, regardless of who that 3rd guy is in the SECW

This guy wasn't recruited to come in and start day one. He was recruited to develop and coach Cam can actually coach the guy and he will listen. He can mold him without the media being involved. And you nor the next guy know more than Cam so I nor anyone else should give a flip what you think. He might be a helleva college QB in a few years, he could save a season for LSU if one of our QBs go down or he could be that bridge for a year gap between our blue chipper QBs baw.

You're trying to rationalize with the people who once referred to Jennings as "5 Heismans" or something of that nature. McMillan to Brees comparison makes a lot of sense when factoring this in

Cam Cameron plucked him out of texas where he was a 6A state champion QB...
McMillian threw some fricking DARTS in the spring game and looks like he gained about 20 lbs of muscle already, if not more.

With offers from UNLV and Arkansas state plucked may not be the word. He had scouts from every school in America at every practice and game and no one offered.cedar hill is stacked.

...but, like I said. It doesn't matter, he's a solid career backup and if it gets you another cedar hill kid in the next year or two it's totally worth it.
