LSU would be an injury away from Starting Justin McMillan. [link]LINK ]

For those that don't know... Justin is a 6'1 170lb Southpaw with offers from Arkansas State, UNLV, LSU, and UNLV.

Some teams can adopt the chaos, but Les Miles was born in it. This isn't the SEC champion we want, but it's the one we deserve.

Jennings will be on the roster by game 2, but probably even the opener.

I don't think he'll be the starter, but it is key for him to be on the team. We don't want to start a twig (Harris) at quarterback with no backup.

McMillan didn't look awful in the spring game and at the end of the day he can't be worse than. Jennings was last year. Harris will become the beast he was meant to be this year. The main thing he missed was experience and hopefully with this opportunity he can get all the #1 reps

Well he took Brandon Harris, but has somehow found a way to keep him from being effective as well.

They can usually throw the ball effectively.

Those guys will face the consequences, and LSU will have improved because of this!!!!

1. Just like his loyalty to Jordan Jefferson, Miles would
have stuck with him despite the face that he's at
the bottom of the world statistically while having
with top notch OL, WR and Rb

2. Harris needs all the reps one can possibly get. He
should have been getting them anyway. The goal is
to get the best possible quarterback ready.

3. it grings Justin McMillian closer to getting a
chance.

Why on Earth would I want this? Cause quarterbacks coveted by other conferences tend to be better!!!

For instance, if Drerw Brees was in high school today; it's probable that the Alabama's and LSU's would bypass on him.

These schools are all dealing with such an insane number of prospects that they have to eliminate many by having specific requirements for each position.

If a guy doesn't meet the requirements, he's not on the recruiting board, at first.

In general, if they take a guy who falls short of the requirements, it's because he's blazing fast or simply incredibly athletic ect.

Most of the top-tier SEC teams don't bat an eye at 5'11" quarterbacks.

WHICH IS NUTS!!!!! It's unreal, to actually think about all the Jake Dellehome's type's that are passed over to get 6'3" Jordan Jefferson types.

((I used extreme examples to support my cause))

I'd prefer McMillian get a shot because mid-majors wanted him.

Whatever the hell these schools are using to evaluate quarterbacks is better than looking at their, height, arm-strength and speed.

I know these guys are the ones who seem better at the H.S.level too. But that's because a gifted athlete or a big guy with a big arm can mop up high school defenses.

Once in college, its a different game. Where skill-sets that involve decision making and work ethic become paramount.

Did you just compare McMillan to Brees........

ETA: It's clear what happened here. Les and co. we're making room for #2 overall QB Felipe Franks on the roster. They simply asked the EBR sheriffs office to help resolve the need to free up the spot on the DC.

Jenning's 2014 stats:

Wisconsin - 9/21, 239 yards, 2/0
Sam Houston St - 7/13, 188 yards, 3/0
ULM - 11/18, 139 yards, 0/1
Miss. State - 13/26, 157 yards, 0/0
New Mexico State - 2/5, 11 yards, 0/2
Auburn - 5/10, 84 yards, 0/0
Florida - 10/21, 110 yards, 1/0
Kentucky - 7/14, 120 yards, 1/0
Ole Miss - 8/16, 142 yards, 1/2
Alabama - 8/26, 76 yards, 1/1
Arkansas - 12/22, 87 yards, 0/0
A&M - 12/21, 107 yards, 1/1
Notre Dame - 7/14, 151 yards, 1/0
______________________________________

First, the sheer fact that we were able to beat Ole Miss and Florida and take Alabama to overtime is absolutely mind boggling to me. The guy is completing 8 to 9 passes a game. 3 or 4 of those completions are dinks and dunkn to the running backs.

Second, it is also mind boggling to me just how bad Les Miles is with quarterbacks. These aren't even JV or Freshman ball numbers. These are middle school numbers.

Point being, who cares if Jennings misses time. As long as Miles is here, we will have a big offensive line and elite running backs all over the place. I just wish we would stop "pretending" to run a pro style offense. Throw the playback away and go flexbone, wing-t, power i.

How is that even possible. I could have thrown for 150 yards vs A&M. Our D was sooooooooooo bad last year.

Whatever metric every school in the country uses, only 3 offered McMillan.
He played on the same team as 10 other D1 prospects, with the most college ready receiver in the country Damarkus Lodge and every team in the country wants a Cedar Hill pipeline.
Dont get me wrong, everyone needs depth at the position and its best to get guys that won't scare off your primary targets, but please don't compare him to Drew Bree's.
