I'd be pissed to have them wait till they've had too many games to redshirt. If they did that to me I'd say screw you Admin. I'm red shirting and taking my skills where the school has some class.

Am I right? Too late to red shirt now.

21 point lead and you lose by 10......perhaps you should concentrate on something a little closer to home

Don't get off point. We have our own problems. As a player that would suck. No telling if you'll fit into the new couches scheme or even who it will be.

First of all, you do realize that if you play any games then it is already too late to redshirt. Second, why would you redshirt this year if you plan to transfer to another FBS school? Why not play this year and use your redshirt on the year you have to sit out anyway. Next, most of the defensive coaching staff may be retained, especially if it is Tom Herman since he and Aranda were college roommates. And do you think that the offensive players we have cannot fit into an offense that scores points?

If you are committing solely to a coach, your fault. Every kid out of high school should know damn well and good that a coach may not be there all 4 years.

I posted asking what the rules were. I thought it was no more than the first 3 games or a percentage of total games, if I was defense then you may have a point. Is it mandatory that you sit a year if you red shirt? I may be confused on this which is why I'm asking.

Well I'd hope some of the players commit to the university (an unchanging scene) instead of always-changing coaching situations, but we know that rarely happens.

No sir. You are not right. I did play high school ball. Long time ago but played. No… I wasn't good enough nor cared to play further. At 6', 180, and white my play was limited.

You seem to think I'm attacking LSU. I'm not. Just think the firing was bad timing and the players may suffer the most.

Times have changed since I graduated in 1980. Jeez bro. Relax.

A special case involves the eligibility of a player who loses the majority of a season to injury. Popularly known as a medical redshirt, a hardship waiver may be granted to athletes who appear in fewer than 30% of team competitions (none after the midpoint of the season) then suffers a season-ending injury. Players granted such a waiver are treated for the purposes of eligibility as though they did not compete in that season.

So I was kinda right and wrong. It's not the first time. I'd twist my ankle or something and get a medical and evaluate the situation at the end of the year.

Now, if transferring from one FBS team to another isn't allowed then you would be right. It becomes a moot point.

Oh really?

So suggesting that the players should go to a school with class isn't insinuating that LSU has no class?

Get the frick out of here with that bullshite.

I am questioning the timing in regards to options that players are now limited to. Saying the ADMIN chose now to announce the firing does limit the players options.

If I was an admin or business owner then it would be in my best interest to fire someone when it benefits me not the people who work for me. So... Taking that a bit further then any school would benefit by waiting till players couldn't leave or redshirt.

That's the gist of my point. Why not do it last week and tell the players they can red shirt if they don't like it.
