UH has a few deep pocket guys, does LSU firing Miles mid season force Playoff contender Herman to reup mid year? I can see him getting asked every week now about the LSU opening. He'll have to decide now or it becomes obvious he's gone at the end of the year.
I'd rather have Herman at USCw or LSU then Texas though. Get him outta Texas please. He's legit.

Yes, Alleva screwed over LSU by not letting Miles finish the season.
What every candidate will think about is that,LSU could have very well gone 9-3 this season which hardly justifies firing.

The team that engaged in that pillow fight on the plains last night wasn't winning 9 games. That team would be luck to win 6 the way things were headed. At least by hitting the reset button with a guy who has done this before (and did it well), they have a chance to energize the team and turn things around. There's obviously no guarantee that it will work, but the lame duck thing DEFINITELY wouldn't have ended well.

All Herman has to do is be honest and say he isnt going to a middling program. It isnt a step up for him if anything its a step down.
