Look, I think Brandon Harris can be good. He would be an Aggie if Kyle Allen didn't commit, and that's a fact. Our coaching staff was really high on him. But realistically, what's his ceiling? As a senior, after honing his craft, after fulfilling his potential, he's not an All-American, he's probably not even All-SEC. He's just not a special kind of player.

Stature
Harris - 6'3 206
Allen - 6'3 210

Arm Strength
Harris - Elite
Allen - Strong

Mobility
Harris - Above average
Allen - Average

As far as higher ceiling, Harris has it based on his arm strength and mobility. I do like that Allen is accurate and has good ball placement.

Allen is likely a top 10 pick after his junior year, and hopefully Harris stays for his senior year which would see him as a top 10 pick.

Wow, what a football expert here. The guy has barely gotten any experience, any all as a true freshman and you now know for sure there is no way he will be a special player. You must be a genius when it comes to football..

Nobody is afraid of Brandon Harris right now. He needs to prove himself playing against live bullets.

Yeah, Mneese is like playing against blanks. State game will be interesting. He torched them last year and had a chance to win, but I'd love to silence those cowbells.

horrible QB

Took Bama to OT with that horrible QB. Imagine if the other guy is considerably better after another year under CCC, another year with WR corp, and some of the best RB's in the conference.

He is a very talented kid as far as throwing it. I just want to see how well he understands defense and throws with some pressure on him.

Report back in November when A&M loses to another "mediocre" QB.

Put me on the list of LSU fans who will "believe it when I see it". I currently have below average faith in our qb situation and I believe rightfully so

All LSU needs is a QB that can complete a pass on third down consistently. The Tigers will be able to run on the right side of the line against anyone.

Kyle Allen's arm strength is elite. Are you high? On my first Google search of Kyle Allen, a national sports write, with no affiliation to A&M said, "Kyle Allen has a cannon for an arm. His arm strength would stack up with top NFL quarterbacks right now."

If you think Brandon Harris has more arm strength than Kyle Allen, you're delusional.

So you know accuracy is important, right? Unless you're Michael Vick, you're not completing less than 60% of your passes and ever sniffing the NFL. According to swamp kittens, LSU has the best receivers on the planet, and Brandon Harris only completed 55% of his passes. Brandon Harris isn't a top 10 pick. If you believe that, you're hopelessly delusional.

Brandon Harris has the strongest arm in the SEC. I'll put his against anyone else's.

I'm done arguing this, but LSU's WR's are young, and we're even younger and inexperienced last year. They had a ton of drops. We beat bama if Quinn could hang on so we could run out the clock.

Sure he does
2014- Marshall, Sims, Allen, Golson
2013- Wallace, McCarron
2012- Driskel, McCarron, Boyd

Just a few of many.

Harris won't start until week 4 in an effort to salvage the season after a 1-2 record to start the season
