Some of those calls early were pretty awful.

No they weren't.. you do not know the rule for interference on a fair catch.

Listen child: If a fair catch is called, the ball is not deemed to be "bobbled" until it hits the ground. The kicking team may not touch the ball or the receiving player until the "bobbled" ball has hit the ground. Comprende?

The true ignorance of these chat board fans, and the way they are led like sheep by controversy mongering TV announcers is truly alarming.

We have to do something about both the education system, and about being allowed to post on football boards. Maybe we should require a rules test before these ignorant asses are allowed to post?

Gurley got the majority of the carries (22) and got 122 yards.

a ground attack might have put the ball in the end zone. If only UGA would have had Chubb back then.

No. With 5 seconds left on the clock we were not going to run the ball. If the ball had simply been spiked or knocked down instead of batted in the air we might have had one more play left and them who knows. Either way, we were in the game and made it close. Alabama beat us, period.

Coming from a non-biased fan viewing the game....Yes they were.

I always think that is funny to remember that had Ohio State not been on probation, Alabama wouldn't have even been there.

I agree the game was back and forth. Definitely a battle..

UGA was right there at the end.... :14 seconds left on the 5. Once again opportunity lost.

Bobo did not have his QB prepared. End of story. Not really the end because we suffered the same BS Vs SC last year. Bonehead.

How the hell does an SEC OC not have his 3 year starter QB prepped and ready for that situation? There is no excuse for the level of retardation that it took to allow that to happen. CLOCK THE BALL and run 2-3 good plays. Pop Warner 101

Put this in the exact same bucket as the SC Mason Hudson failure on the goalline.

If you remember there was the interception review that took 10 minutes. If you watch the replay of the game you will see AM standing on the sideline alone... no coaching, no planning, no headphones, NOTHING! NADA! Fail!

We will not miss Mike Bobo ..... You heard it here first.

You keep parroting the same shite and it's wrong every single time.

This makes no sense. The ball was tipped.

Well, we did.

and think you could win.

And we almost did. Facts are facts. Should we have been in the game? An argument could be made that we should not. However, the fact is, we made some timely plays that kept us in the game.

An argument could also be made that you can't lose the turnover battle and expect to win in a championship game.

And 291 yards passing.

Total domination by Bama....again my point is that you cant allow 350 yds rushing and think you could win. Bama had Yeldon & Lacey both gain over 150 yds each.

Well we were right there at the end, so yeah we can expect to win. You know why? Because a touchdown at the end wins the game. Your logic just doesn't make sense. The game is determined by points, not by rushing yards or time of possession.

How is my description of the situatio wrong.

Would you prefer 2-3 plays with :12 seconds or the rushed play we saw?

Let's hear it

Murray wanted to spike and the Tip has nothing to do with the decision. You need to watch that sequence again.

Any play executed outside the endzone is a fail. TURRIBLE all around.

Winning Football 101

The ball being tipped was not the problem. A pass thrown to annnnn over loaded area outside the endzone (triple coverage) ws the result of a rushed hectic situation.

Give yourself the best chance to win. Clock the ball and you have no less than 2 plays.

Hindsight is ALWAYS 20/20. Because it didn't work you have an issue with it. Both play calls were fine. The reasoning behind them is sound.

In the SECCG we had Bama on their heels. We'd driven down the field in quick succession. I have no issue with keeping that momentum going and not giving them a chance to regroup. If we had clocked it and the same thing happened, you'd probably be saying the opposite. That we had them on their heels and we let them get their defense set.

The South Carolina play has been beaten to death. It was a really good play call. Just poor execution. You can revisited any number of threads that explain why it was.

But the fact that you don't think we'll miss Bobo really does prove your ignorance as a fan.

The ball was clearly intended for the back corner of the endzone.

LMAO. Practically EVERYONE IN AMERICA wanted ND to win that game... So ywhat you're saying is that somehow the mythical REC was able to influence the refs to give Bama an advantage and the game clearly showed that Bama needed an advantage... Is that what you really believe?

You aren't very smart by blaming what happened on murrays prep rather than a coaches choice and a bad luck bounce.

It was the entire problem. Mitchell was targeted in the corner of the endzone. This was explained in multiple post game interviews.
