I can see it affecting 14 more than 13

Although the Clemson game may have been different in 13 if georgia wins the natty.

Refs didn't have anything to do with Bama averaging 7.2 yards per play. And Bama was penalized more times for more yardage than ND. They were only called for 3 penalties all night.

I get the feeling somehow UGA would have found a way to lose to that horrible Notre Dame team.

Maybe, but Gurley and Malcolm Mitchell were still both injured on the same play without contact on UGA's first or second drive of the game.

Quite frankly UGA did not deserve to win that game and smart folks that can put their allegiance aside will agree. UGA could not run the ball and Bama stomped them on the ground. UGA did light it up via the air...but you have to be able to run and stop the run to be alpha dawgs. Thats not taking either side...it is pure football fact.

Oh...I know I know..UGA was down at the goal line and that close to winning...well...a ground attack might have put the ball in the end zone. If only UGA would have had Chubb back then.

You serious? I mean serious?

ND had no chance if we gave them the ball on the 10 yd line the whole game.

This has gotten to be such a go to excuse for LSU fans that I dont care who Bama beats and how bad they beat them its gonna be the reason.
We actually joke and see how long it takes after a Bama win how long it takes the Tiger fans to start the ref thing.
It was sad, now its humorous because you can almost set you watch by the time the ref excuse starts.

Some of those calls early were pretty awful. The only way ND was going to win was if they got an early lead. But say ND gets a few calls at the beginning and scores a few times. Then it changes everything.

Better teams lose all the time when they lose momentum early.

How the hell does an SEC OC not have his 3 year starter QB prepped and ready for that situation? There is no excuse for the level of retardation that it took to allow that to happen. CLOCK THE BALL and run 2-3 good plays. Pop Warner 101

Put this in the exact same bucket as the SC Mason Hudson failure on the goalline.

If you remember there was the interception review that took 10 minutes. If you watch the replay of the game you will see AM standing on the sideline alone... no coaching, no planning, no headphones, NOTHING! NADA! Fail!

We will not miss Mike Bobo ..... You heard it here first.

Here are stats from the game:

FIRST DOWNS TOTALS Bama 26 UGA 18
FIRST DOWNS BY RUSH 18 6
YARDS RUSHING TOTALS 350 113
TIME OF POSSESSION 37:35 22.25
TURNOVERS 2 1

Total domination by Bama....again my point is that you cant allow 350 yds rushing and think you could win. Bama had Yeldon & Lacey both gain over 150 yds each.

The Georgia game is one of the reasons why I don't believe the 2012 team is as good as the 2009 or 2011 teams. 2009 and 2011 Bama were much more dominant against good teams. I just can't imagine either of those teams letting Georgia drive down the field like that to almost win at the last minute.

Thats as close as UGA has come to a Natty since 1980. If Georgia beats Bama in the SECCG, they would have destroyed Notre Dame similar to what Bama did.

This was the one time I was for Georgia in the CG, because my daughter was in the redcoat band at Georgia at the time. I would have loved for her to get to go and play on the field at the National Championship game.

Why in the hell did they not spike the damn ball.

Had Alabama on their heels....we were moving the ball on them...didn't want to allow them to substitute....in retrospect, we should have spiked the ball. The coaches just felt like running a quick play was the best move. Had the ball not been tipped, who knows. Had we spiked the ball, who knows. It is what it is. Alabama played a great game and beat us. They killed ND. And now we UGA fans get to play what if.

Yea, that statement proved he either isn't smart or he missed the game.
