GTFOH you fricking troll. The dude is hurt and doesn't want to jeopardize his professional career. Why is that difficult to comprehend?

Can you imagine what the LSU people on here would be saying if... say ... Derrick Henry ... sat out of a bowl game or NC series last year because he was "hurt?"

Biggest group of trolling hypocrites on the internet.

Kind of like having dozens of threads during the offseason, all filled with Bama fans, saying Fournette would be smart to sit out the entire season only to have those same posters now call him a bitch for sitting out a bowl game, right?

He has been injured all year. At points he was mostly better but never let it fully heal. So it kept reoccurring. In the Florida game he was not supposed to play at all. It would have been better if he hadn't, he didn't play well although hats off to him for trying to help.

To answer the OP, if say he got hurt in the last game, and won the Heisman, he would play or not play based on how the injury had healed prior to the bowl. LF wants to play. He has all year.

If he had been healthy and the ankle was 100% not an issue that he would've been able to block better against Auburns when they sacked Etling a few times. If fournette would've rested that game, maybe Guice would've had an exceptional game.
Same situation with Florida. If Fournettes ankle was not an issue, there is absolutely no way UF prevents him from getting in the end one on atleast 2 of those drives.

I think his injury accounts for those 2 games. It's arguable that it really didn't matter his condition against Bama, Saban had a plan to shut him down and stuff the run game. Wisconsin was just simply a shite show.

Fournette healthy probably would've been invited to NY but was not going to win the heisman. Lamar was putting up video game stats all year.

LSU fans worship him because he chose LSU over Bama. Bama wanted LF7 badly and he went with LSU. So they will make all kinds of excuses for him.

Dumb thread. LF never sniffed NYC, let alone the Heisman.

Whose fault is it that he played?

Not with a chronic ankle sprain. Heisman or no Heisman, his ankle needs time to heal.

If he wasn't actually hurt, we would say he is a pussy. There's your problem. Fournette has had a chronic ankle condition all year long.

are Bama fans really so dense or stupid to not understand that he has an ankle injury that he has been trying to play through all year? He has played this season when he has been able to. What would be the point of f'ing up his ankle even more than it already is?

Fournette is about Fournette. But, can you really blame him?

Means he wouldn't be injured and yeah, I'd say he would have played. LF7 isn't a quitter.

Shitty post.

Already been trolled and discussed ad nauseum.

LF made the right decision in his/LSU's situation. LSU has Guice. They don't need LF to beat L'ville. They're better off with Guice and his backup(s) at 100% healthy, than giving carries to LF when he is not. LF should not risk aggravating his injury.

he injured his ankle two weeks before the season started.

Reinjured the same ankle 3 times during the season

Sat out the last few games due to the injury

the ankle never healed all season

LSU fans have not problem with understanding the situation

Fournette only played in 7 games this season and there is no way he was in the Heisman race

Why do you think he could have won the Heisman trophy playing only 7 games, so this make your post so stupid

I am certain if Fournette played the whole season uninjured he would be playing in the bowl game

I don't know how to explain this in any way to make people like you understand.

Speaking of Heismans, why isn't Lamar Jackson skipping the bowl game?

Heisman winners aren't quitters

What evidence to you have for this statement? Apparently LF was good showing his rolex, fighting with a Florida coach, refusing to travel to A&M, clowning with the crowd taking selfies while Florida won the game.

However, he refused to attend the banquet, signed with an agent to kill any chance of being eligible for a bowl game for which he had 6 weeks to recover from the longest lasting sprained ankle in history. What did he do with all that talent? He never won anything, he disappeared in big games and now it seems like he has quit on the team.

And again I ask... suppose Derrick Henry was nursing a sore ankle at the end of the season. Suppose with six weeks to recover he decided on his own to sit the playoff or bowl . You can BE SURE what the LSU fans on here would be saying. And you can be sure Alabama fans would be saying it too... they would not be making lame excuses for him.

At least no one for Alabama has called LF a pussy yet... You all are welcome to your own conclusions. But don't insult everyone's intelligence with this lingering ankle keeping him from even dressing out supporting his team six weeks later. That is bull and you know it...
