They're real good but not great. There's no D in the ACC.

2 losses in the SEC.

After last night? You serious? They're obviously not the "all-world" FSU they were played up to be before the game. They were very beatable

Honestly, Alabama would've had a better chance at beating FSU than Bama had at beating Auburn, based on how the defense is built. AU almost beat them (and would have, minus a very uncharacteristic KO return), so you have to look at LSU also being a very legit shot.

They might have gone undefeated, but instead of all blowouts, they would have had at least 3 or 4 scares.

LSU beat the best team from the SEC by two touchdowns. I'm not sure it worked out to an undefeated season for LSU either...

They beat the SEC champ, so a thinking they would lose a bunch automatically is illogical. However, had they played some of the SEC teams instead of the ACC teams, they'd have had a tougher schedule and tougher schedules generally mean more losses. I don't know who would have beat them, though. Maybe Alabama, or Auburn given another shot. Best to say, "Good Season" and leave it at that.

We're not disparaging them, just playing with hypotheticals. I think there is a reasonable chance they lose to:

Georgia (early in season)
LSU (early-ish)
Alabama (anytime)
Auburn (anytime)
Mizzou (anytime)
SCAR (anytime)

I also think they COULD get a good shot from TAMU or Ole Miss at some points. I'm not saying they'd lose any of those, but all would be somewhat challenging to very challenging, and would exceed the large majority of their schedule this year.

Auburn got better each week and was clearly the best team in the conference by the end of the year.

While FSU played its worst game of the season.

FSU is VERY GOOD. 31-10 run to end the game.

You mean against the team that was a double digit underdog and FSU players said were going to dominate in every phase of the game? Yeah, they didn't quite live up to expectations.

I think they went 24-10 in the second half, but were beat 21-10 in the beginning of the game.

No doubt FSU was a good team, but they weren't the 2001 Miami team they were pretending to be.

Who gives a frick about the line? Wasn't FSU the only BCS favorite to actually win this year?

And almost beat them on a neutral site. What would the outcome have been playing Auburn at Auburn in November? Then at Alabama then SECCG? Georgia early? Who knows but gun to the head I say no way no how do they go through the SEC unbeaten.

I wonder why? Perhaps because Winston was getting knocked around and his WRs were covered and the other offense was piling up points on the scoreboard?

I agree FSU is very good, but to act like they laid an egg is dumb.

The average auburn DBS held FSU receivers in check and that D line have them fits.

FSU is the most SEC ready ACC team, but the wear and tear. SOS, and general SEC athletes and speed for 8 games would almost guarantee two loses for FSU. A healthy EAST would give them fits and a West would give them fits.

bullshite that you have to pretty much go undefeated to sniff the natty. 10 team playoff can't get here quick enough.

So did LSU.

They needed a miracle against Georgia.

They needed a miracle against Alabama.

They beat Mississippi State by 4.

Same with Texas A&M.

Ole Miss by one possession.

We're not talking about a team that dominated the schedule -- FSU would not have the rotation available to hang with the SEC. There is absolutely no way they lose less than 2 games in the West.

Look at it this way: FSU struggled pretty significantly against Boston College. BC was the 4th ranked team in the ACC Atlantic division. We all know the ACC blows cock, so let's assume that instead of struggling against the #4 ACC Atlantic team, let's substitute them with the #4 SEC West team...

Texas A&M

We would arse rape that rapist over and over again. So yes, they would lose at least once

That's not a coincidence. Auburn didn't play their best game either.

By a late touchdown aided by a pretty shady pass interference call. Auburn couldn't even go undefeated, why on Earth do you think FSU has the personnel to do the same act?

They wouldn't have a full month to prepare. Auburn needed acts of God to do what they did.

Only if they other teams vying for the spot, have the same loss record.

if tOSU went undefeated, no way Auburn would be in it.

I don't think they could. I think that key players world get hurt. Hell look at us, Ga. with Key players out. It's impossible to play SEC week in and week out and not lose much less with starters gone.
