That 2005 game may be the hottest 8PM game of all time. People were passing out all over the student section.
the 2003 game was the single hottest game i've ever been to. it was a noon kickoff because the LSU/UGA game was at 3:30 for a CBS double header. Ridiculous for a September game in Florida. It was at least 95 degrees. I was pretty damn drunk before the game and was dead cold sober by the end of the first quarter with possibly the worst headache of my life.

Exactly which games have you attended at the Swamp? Hmm? Or are you just talking shite to talk shite?
I related my experiences a couple of posts up, and some of your fellow UF fans agreed with me. So I reiterate...visit LSU when UF has an away game in BR, then objectively compare the way LSUPD behaves towards visiting fans then contrast it with the way UFPD behaves.
I trust it will open your eyes. You can't fix a problem unless you admit you have a problem in the first place.

It isn't always. Last year during the UT-UF game at the Swamp fans spent the game talking about which team was more awful. That was one ugly arse game. Never have I heard of a game between Vols and Gators where fans were so horrified by their own team's awful play they didn't bother trash talking one another - instead trash talked their own team in some sorta weird fan competition of who was worse but then again that game would bring that out of anyone.

actually, i've never been to an LSU/UF game in the swamp. I went to the UT/UF game in 2003, 2005, and 2007. Not saying it wasn't loud, it just wasn't what I was expecting. To me, it was no louder than Neyland was when UT was still good, Bryant Denny, or Jordan Hare.
I also don't know what LSu fans enjoying themselves has to do with the Swamp. I had fun when i went too, but that had little to do with the atmosphere of the stadium or how passionate Florida fans were.
First of all, the 2003 game was a noon game, and it sucked and was hot, and UF didn't really have a lot to cheer about that day.
2005 was, considering the intense heat, one of the loudest games at the stadium in a while. I was there. It was pretty good the whole way because of the closeness of the score, but it was DAMN hot and DAMN humid that night. Most people in the 2nd half were half dead.
The 2007 game was pretty loud, but I mean, it was a massacre. I wouldn't call it UF's loudest or anything, but the early punt return was very loud.
I think you probably think that LSU is louder because you are actively yelling during those games. It's actually surprising how a football stadium can sound a little quieter when you stand neutral kind of watching everything.

I loved that 2013 game. My friends and I laughed the whole fricken time. We still, and forever, refer to it as the herp-derp game.

Honestly, that happens a lot to Florida. It's hard to keep it up as a fan base for 4 quarters in that kind of ridiculous sweltering heat. UF is way louder during night games.

That's a perfect name for it. I've never witnessed such a comedy of errors. It was like both teams were trying their damndest to make the other team win and doing it poorly.

I completely agree with you about the police, but in terms of actual stadium experience, I have yet to meet a single LSU fan that wasn't impressed.

It would have been nice to make it to the stadium that day.

I have yet to visit the Swamp but it is high on the list. My friends that have gone were all very impressed with the stadium and atmosphere. But they also passed on the horror stories about the cops and drinking.

A newbies perspective but i believe gainsville to como is the farthest trip in the entire SEC and the Gator contingent flat brought it last year at our place, every vistor section at faurot was sold out in blue ane orange. No other visitor in 2013 did the same.

Totally agree with this, atmosphere is awesome but the Police suck dicks. Ruined my last two visits to the swamp with the drinking regulations. If I do come back I can definitely say I will not bring someone who has never been a long with me. Got screwed twice by doing just that. Drunk coon asses and drinking laws don't mix to well

I now know who's to blame for UF's "Finest" being the hands down worst campus police department it's ever been my dissatisfaction to interact with.
Thankfully Machen is on his way out.
