My point is that you can't call someone a classless thug for a late hit, have him chop blocked then celebrate it.

Sure you can? As a marine, I'm sure you're familiar with the concept of justice.

I would honestly deck someone in their fricking teeth if they celebrated this. You dont justify a late hit with ending someones career.

We are talking about a late hit into the pads of a player in football. Not stomping on guys heads in the bars (UT players), gouging eyes out (UF) or beating on women (UGA).

I am upset with the cheap shot as well and I would have benched his arse if I were the coach but chop blocking to tear his ACL.

There's padding on Fairley's knee, right?

I bet Auburn would think differently if other teams were hitting CN like fairley hits opposing qbs.....maybe fairley is mad that he didn't get paid by Auburn and thats why the coachs will do nothing to him discipline wise.

Since he didn't face in-house repercussions, and he wasn't suspended, and he doesn't have any remorse for his actions, on-field retaliation is unfortunately the option these amateur athletes have been left with to defend themselves from his belligerent conduct.

No celebrating but i wouldn't feel bad for the guy. This is what happens when you find someone who is willing to be as dirty as you are to teach you a lesson.

True.
However, what Fairly did was not just a "late hit"

Someone his size spearing Murray in the back the way he did could have paralyzed Murray.

Exactly. You saw what he did when he was blocked fair and square.. he waits for the QB to throw it then goes in for the late hit.

You literally can't do anything else but try to take him out of the game since his coaches aren't punishing him.

Think about it. Everyone does their job on the field, yet he still hits the opposing player late and illegally.

Auburn fans are so damn delusional and hypocritical. They call Fairley's play "hard nosed, old school football" yet they expect opponents not to exhibit the same type of old school attitude by going after him and trying to take him out of the game.

There's already been plenty of wishing that he suffers a season ending injury. Then again, it's mostly from people who are also sporting mullets and living in trailers.
