I think it's a good question but not using any player by name. Michael Sam wasn't the right one to come out honestly. He is an undrafted nobody that said he just wanted to be a football player but was doing interviews left and right. That kiss definitely didn't help as well to win over the majority, just too in your face. If a superstar announced I don't know what would happen. There would be detractors but still I think a lot of people would come out vocally for the player and his teammates would stand by him. I think that may be the only way its accepted. Any guesses?
