Week 2 thru 7 Tennessee plays VT on the road, UF @ home,Georgia and A&M on the road, and Alabama @ home. Will lose to AL, if they lose 3 of the other 4 Butch should be fired. Tennessee will probably still win the last 5. If they fire him that early in the season they should be able to get one of the top coaches available.

Only way Butch gets the boot this year is if we go 6-6 or something of that nature. Even then I think he'd get one more year.

I really don't know why Vols fans are so sure of this. I don't think he would have survived 6-6 last year and the buyout is barely different.

Yeah I could easily see him being shown the door at this point with a subpar season but at the same time I think the AD is weary of coaching searches. I think Hart would have to have someone in mind who he was very comfortable in being able to get before firing Butch. But an 8 win season or better and Butch is here for another year.

Oh, Hart will never fire Butch by choice. Even if he wins 3.

He is safe unless they don't win atleast 8 games.

We will be favored in every game but maybe one. Butch is definitely the Achilles heal on this team. There is zero excuse to not win at a minimum 10 games in the regular season. I think 10 out of 12 games this year are actually being played in the state of Tennessee. If we were to ever have a great year it would be this year but with Butch Jones on the sideline I'm very weary of the stupid shite he'll do with the game on the line.
