LSU would still be 6-2. the issue with Auburn and Miss State was the DTs and LBs. personnel changes have been made and young players have gotten the reps they needed so things are much better now, but we'd be 6-2 even if we started the season over again today (though in much closer games).

yep....of course ole miss or Alabama has played neither of these teams.....

also....I don't really keep up with Ole Miss, but how many qb's do they have in the nfl right now? Bo isn't going to make it either. If I had to guess, Les has 2 qb's in the nfl right now that he either developed or recruited. The only one I can think of at Ole Miss is Peyton's brother.....that said, just imagine if LSu did have good qb's under Miles....would he go down as the greatest coach ever? In his 9 years at LSU, he is already has the highest big conference winning %.......just imagine if he had qb's.

but has a stronger defense.

laugh all you want, but we will see Saturday night. LSU is coming on very strong on the DL, and with beckwith and know going beast mode....adams has stepped up bigtime as well in the secondary....this is turning into a very good defense.......

Ole Miss hasn't played auburn or state yet.....that has skewed the numbers bigtime.

Bo Wallace had 17 interceptions in his first year as a starter at year 3 in college with a final record of 7-6!

He has been in college for FIVE years. If only our fans have half the amount patience that Ole Miss fans have...if only!

I rather be 6-2 then to be 8-0 with Ho Wallace.

Bo Wallace couldn't have stopped Auburn when we played them, MSU either.

Les neither recruited nor developed Mett in the manner suggested in the OP

Wallace arrived at Ole Miss as a JUCO transfer, just as Mett did at LSU. What exactly is the difference?

Les' inability to recruit or develop a competent QB is staggering

umm......he just lost Zach Mettenberger who passed for over 3000 yards - douchebag.
