Our intermediate passing is lacking greatly. Dak doing his best Graham interpretation would help tremendously.

Your constant LSU threads and focus on quarterback development schtick has really run it's course.

I completely agree. We won the SEC with Zow,so I'm good with it.

Hell we won the SEC with JJ/JL. QB play is so overrated. shite the best QB play we have had was last year and we didn't even compete for the West.

Back to the OP, he indicated that Miles was unable to recruit top QB talent. That is patently false. Perilloux, Mett, Jefferson, Lee, Harris, and Jennings were all highly rated coming out of HS.

We cant develop them? I don't know, we kicked Perilloux off the team, Mett went to the NFL, Flynn went to the NFL, Either JJ or JL took mercy knees on the Ole Miss 1 and led the team to an undefeated regular season and SEC Championship, and Harris is a true freshman and Jennings is in his 8th game.

ETA: Les' inability to recruit or develop a competent QB is staggering.

Mettenberger is better than anything Ole Miss has had since Eli.

Since nobody outside of UM fans believe Bo is in the same stratosphere, this is what y'alls argument has been limited to. "Errr I said bo was better at QB not RB or TE. Errrr"

Les neither recruited nor developed Mett in the manner suggested in the OP

Bo is doing what Jennings should be doing, and what Alabama QB's have typically done under Saban. Playing it safe and shortening the game, not making any difficult throws, and not pressuring himself to score. Freeze kept commenting early on how they needed him to just wait on the offense to give him throws and stop forcing things, which is when he stopped throwing INT's. They know Bo isn't capable of playing a high powered offensive roll, without giving up a lot of turnovers, and are instead playing to their strengths. It's smart football, sitting back and knowing their defense allows them to win games even if they don't put up a ton of points.

That being said, I don't think LSU necessarily wins more games with Bo at QB. They need to continue what they did the past two weeks; run the ball, play strong defense, and manage the game. The teams are actually focusing on two very similar game plans, the difference being OM doesn't have the running game but has a stronger defense.

LSU doesn't throw 15 screens a game so IDK how effective he'd actually be.

Imagine all the picks he'd throw if he had to actually throw a forward pass more than 10 times a game.

LSU would still be 6-2. the issue with Auburn and Miss State was the DTs and LBs. personnel changes have been made and young players have gotten the reps they needed so things are much better now, but we'd be 6-2 even if we started the season over again today (though in much closer games).

Likely, though the thought of a better passing game helping to prevent a bunch of early 3 and outs is intriguing to say the least. The MSU game in particular could have turned out differently with an early passing game. The running game, abandoned early on, was gaining nearly 4 ypc (RB stats) against both MSU and AU. In the AU game in particular, Harris and Jennings were missing open receivers all night so that game would have been much closer with a competent QB playing.

We actually haven't thrown many bubble screens this year.

False. Still a lot of inexperience on all fronts. Maybe 7-1 but even that is questionable. The losses would not have been so dramatically bad however.

Are we talking about First Half Good Bo, First Half Bad Bo, Second Half Good Bo, or Second Half Bad Bo?
