The loss to A&M might have been the reason we won the NC. Sometimes teams need a wake up call.

Exactly. If bama didn't score on their last possession against LSU, UGA is the national champ.

What if McCarron's 3rd interception wasn't called back? That would have been the beginning of a rout - instead Bama maintains control and scores 2 plays later.

Even if A&M did not hold Bama out of the endzone with the interception at the goal line, there was still time on the clock for JFF to score again, which I have no doubt he would have done.

Bottom Line ... GREAT win for TAMU ... at the end of the year, Bama, GA, TAMU, LSU, USC or Florida would have absolutely destroyed ND (the new big 6? where is TN? where is AU?).

Bama wins 3 of 4 and TN and AU cannot be legitimately considered a part of the new big 6.

Good times indeed over there in T-Town!

Johnny gets the Heisman anyway, they still beat oklahoma in the cotton bowl. Would still be top 10.

...LSU hires Spurrier in late 80's, followed by Saban, who sticks it out at Miami, then Miles. 10 CC's and 7 NC's???

Akin to if the 3 Victoria's models in my dreams were real.

If Spurrier had come to LSU in the late 80s, do you really think Saban would have had enough pedigree to get the job in 2000?

This may freak you out but imo, if Bama beats LSU in first game last year then AJ is not nearly the QB he is today and we lose to LSU this year, then TAMU wins 2012 BCSNC. Butterfly effect. The LSU loss last year motivated AJ to be so much better. One of Bama's player told me last year that AJ was deeply effected by the missed opportunities in that game and he took a big leap up afterwards.
