No one is whining. It's just something that puts perspective to the utter dominance that Bama is experiencing right now.
and Bama is the odds on favorite to win the BCS this next season. Opening odds were 3/1 Bama.

Bama is dominant right now, period. You don't have to say "oh well if this and that we would be even more successful", just take it for what it is. If FSU misses a field goal to end the game, Nebraska wins 4 out of 5 NCs including 3 in a row. But they didn't.

I know. Bama is a little less than that dynasty right now, but has a great chance at pulling way ahead of it if we go 3 PEAT this next season. I think we do easily.

If Colt McCoy doesn't get hurt
If Okie State makes a chip shot field goal
If Oregon doesn't choke against Stanford and K-State shows up against Baylor.
If LSU doesn't go full retard in the last two minutes of the game.
If Georgia makes one more play.
Just one of those last three would have kept Alabama from being in the big game this year. Two of them would have kept them out of a BCS Bowl completely.
The game is one of very, very small margins. Alabama has been on the good side of those margins a whole lot in recent history. Obviously, they've had a great team to put them in position to take advantage of the situations. One must always remember, though, that it would take only a small number of ifs going the other way for Alabama to have 0 championships since Saban's arrival. That's the difference between a dynasty narrative and one that says he just can't get it done.
It's crazy to really think about.
