could do worse, AU fans. Could be stuck with Kevin Steele.

I'm not against giving him a shot, especially with a solid showing today. He'd be cheap and could end up a good hire.

I would slightly prefer him to Steele, but neither is a good hire for dc.

good recruiter, already knows the personnel, desperate for his chance. all a recipe for a decent hire.

Wouldn't be the "home run" that Muschamp was viewed as last year, but would be a solid double, IMO.

I want whoever will make my fellow Auburn fans melt the hardest.

Kevin Steele reports of him coming to Auburn gave me some real entertainment this morning.

I'd take LT over some of the others mentioned...Steele & Roof immediately come to mind.

It'd be hilarious.....if Gus wasted a month looking for DC, just to end up promoting a guy already on staff.

haha, "well the job is yours because nobody else wanted it". talk about a confidence booster. then the folks in our AD will be dumbfounded when he takes the first chance to bail & stick it to them. I'm beginning to think the REC is pumping retard gas into our facilities.

It'd actually be smart, considering it's been known Lance would coach the bowl game. I don't see how waiting for a live action interview is hilarious. The bowl prep, game plan, and play calling are all on Lance this game.

How do you know Malzahn didn't tell LT he'd wait until after the bowl game to see how he does before making an offer?

Well, at this point, if Malzahn doesn't promote LT, he'd look pretty foolish.

It was reported this week LT hasn't had a single conversation with Gus about the job.

A lot of AU faithful have wondered why Coach Thompson hasn't been named DC.

It was reported? It must be true then!

Give me a break, of course there have been conversations.

If Gus' doesn't want him then it wouldn't have been discussed.

So you don't think LT has gone to Gus to express interest? Gus just decides to promote him for the bowl game without conversations about it? Christ.
