Yeah...we've seen the multitudes of fan bases other than Auburn and LSU posting as such.

Why were they insistent in moving the Iron Bowl out of neutral site Birmingham and onto their campus. Bama continued to play games in Birmingham into the early 2000's. Mybe if they hadn't killed a neutral site Iron Bowl to begin with, the city would have eventually committed to replacing Legion Field, UAB would have a stadium to play in and maybe garnered more support.

Because Alabama wouldn't agree to renovate it.

The stadium was a problem for UAB, but not the main one. Their main problem was the BOT cockblocking them at every turn. However, just because a stadium is nice doesn't make a successful program. Pitt, Miami, Tulane, USF, and Temple all either play at or recently played at an NFL stadium and all either built or are planning to build OCS. When you don't own the stadium you don't get alot of the revenue that you normally would. Tulane for example didn't get the revenue from beer sales at the dome during tulane games those went to Benson and the Saints.

It's been one of the most mismanaged in the country and honestly it's a shame. Could be a really cool place.

AMEN!

I'm sick of it crowding the SECRant while I want to discuss the SEC Championship game Bama & Mizzou are about to play in just a few days.

I couldn't care less about a damn football team that doesn't have shite to do with the SEC.

Because you played there. The better question is why did Alabama choose to play there.

I just think its funny that you have to express this on this board to yourself everyday.

Insecurity issues 101 right there.

The first Iron Bowl played in Auburn was two years before UAB played their first game. Like most Bama fans at the time, I gave Dye and Auburn crap for moving the game from Birmingham, but the reality is that the game belongs on the college campuses. Anyone who was at either game the last two years would likely attest to that. You can't re-create the game day atmosphere in Birmingham that exists in Tuscaloosa and Auburn.

Now, if Auburn really wanted to save UAB football, they could have played UAB two weeks ago instead of Samford. They could have even played a home and home and come to Birmingham.

Mismanagement and utter corruption to the point of financial bankruptcy and an embarrassment for the entire State.

You should read the thread on the Auburn board. The groupthink is incredible.

It was a dick move made by the BOT. Shutting down the UAB program is not cool, especially considering they are supposed to be part of the same UA university system as the money making cash cow;

Auburn's ability to pay its assistants top-dollar hasn't changed despite the $865,994 deficit the athletics department reported for the 2013 fiscal year, along with the buyouts still owed to four coaches.

Auburn is still paying former head coach Gene Chizik $209,457.84 per month, according to open financial records, through the 2015-2016 fiscal year, owes former basketball coach Tony Barbee $1.875 million in monthly installments that end in June of 2017, assistant coach Ryan Miller $15,833 per month through May of 2015 and now former defensive coordinator Ellis Johnson $850,000 per year through June of 2017, a figure that will go down if he gets another job.

Auburn owes all four coaches a total of roughly $7.1 million through June 2017, although the yearly total obviously drops as coaches come off the books at different times.

Those numbers likely won't deter Auburn from its pursuit of Muschamp.

Despite those buyouts, Auburn's athletic revenue is expected to rise after selling out all seven home football games and selling out basketball season tickets for the first time since the 1999-2000 season, plus the unknown windfall expected from SEC Network revenues.

Add it all up, and Auburn isn't likely to be priced out of the Muschamp sweepstakes.

Not surprising their own football program is $3.7 million in the red while The Capstone operates at a $21 million windfall. Go on and tell us how to manage our finances Welfare Tigers. You sound so credible.

Your 3.7 million dollar number is just more Bama Babble, made up information. As you can see we did lose a little less than a million dollars., We have a huge cash reserve. Money will not be a problem I beleieve we will be profitable in 2014

Go check our r/cfb, then you can see multiple fanbases all equally pissed at the BoT, but mainly JR for his actions.

We are talking about the Iron Bowl dummy not AU home games....here let me help you:

AU (Lowder & Dye)made the decision to move the Iron Bowl to the AU campus in the years when AU was designated the home team. The did this for a few reasons:

1): The revenue
2): The recruiting
3): They believed that Birmingham is an Alabama town and that Legion Field was UA's alternate home field.
4); They believed they would be more succesful against Bama over the long-haul if the Iron Bowl was played in Auburn and were tired of all the arse rapings Bear laid on them in Legion Field.

This decsion, in part, led to the city not giving a frick about Legion Field and led Bama to do the same thing. My point to you is AU didn't give a frick about the impact on the city and did whatever the hell they wanted.
