How delusional do you have to be to claim this is a mediocre program?

All-time record 716–457–45 (.606)

Bowl record 22–19 (.537)

Playoff appearances 2 (2015, 2016)

Playoff record 3–1 (.750)

Claimed nat'l titles 2 (1981, 2016)

National finalist 1 (2015)

Conference titles 22 (4 SIAA, 2 SoCon, 16 ACC)

Division titles
5 (2009, 2011, 2012, 2015, 2016)
*ACC Divisions added in 2005

Consensus All-Americans 25

Dude, there ain't no way Dabo and Co are getting players from FL to go to the middle of nowhere, SC (and make no mistake, it's tucked away in the corner of the state around nothing else) without something going on.

As much as the Mizzou fan wants to swallow all over Clemsons history he should know they got put on massive probation after 1980, didn't win shite for over a decade when FSU joined the conference, and those Dabo teams still have a losing record vs SC.

But sure, their legacy is rock solid.

As bad as I hate it.....you gotta give Clemson credit, theyve done it the right way(getting better every year). He has a fun, improving program a lot of kids are drawn to it.

Not just out of the blue land a top 5 class.Even after you suck just magically start reeling in top classes ?

Getting progressively better isn't "doing it the right way", it's just being efficient with the resources you're getting. Gene Chizik? Pretty suck-arse coach, but he made buying Cam worth the risk. And Freeze took Ole Miss from 2–10 to 7–6 his first year, and then kept improving by a win every year up until 10. Last year was just… I don't know what the hell happened.

It also took Dabo four years to get Clemson to 10 wins, same as Freeze. Something is up at Clemson, except Swinney is actually a good coach. Freeze is horrible. I mean, come on. You're gonna cheat that hard and fearlessly, and still lose to Bert three years in a row? He should be fired for that alone.

Honestly where would Clemson be without Deshaun Watson? It is UGA's fault for not offering him sooner, and Clemson jumped on that opportunity

Cheatin' Charley Pell got both Clemson AND UF in a whole heap of trouble. The funny thing is, though, if he didn't get caught at Florida we would have probably never seen the chain of events that ended with us hiring the Head Ball Coach.
