Remember all of those atrocious Derek Dooley coached teams?

Well, this team is worse (or worst for the under-educated LA people OTB)

Good thing y'all got rid of Fulmer and replaced him with a proven superstar, amirite?

Hindsight is 20/20. Going in it seemed like a good idea to let Peterman show what he has, but other than the QB play the team played hard. They were just not as talented as UF.

I'd also like to go on record and say that I never once fell for the "back-up QB is our savior" stance that every other person in the Vol fanbase fell victim too.

I am a cut above the rest.

Like Nebraska they refused to allow the team to experience mediocrity...

But...but....Mack Brown recruited him. Tejas should fire him for that alone.

Making Peterman have his first career start at the swamp, against the best defense in the country was beyond moronic. I don't think Whorley would have done any better but you could give a green kid nightmares of Chucky and Fowler for weeks.

That was a terrible decision and a terrible way to start a game, when Florida's offense was doing its best to hand you the game.

I for one am sick and tired of hearing so much blame being put on Kiffin. There's only so much damage a douche can do in one year.

I'm actually optimistic that we can go bowling after this week.....and I predicted 6 wins from the beginning

Oh Jed...

Didn't Dooley recruit well? I think I was told that.

Worley was terrible against Oregon so we played the backup to see how he did in a hostile environment. He was as bad as he could have been, but it was worth seeing how he would do.

Agreed, I can see how people would say it was a terrible decision by Butch but it's not like Petermen had ZERO experience.....obviously none in that environment but you have to start sometime

Yeah, let's throw a baby in the water to see if it can swim on his own.

if he ever starts again, we will all know, at that very moment, that Butch is not the guy.

nah... anyone with a brain knew playing Peterman Saturday was going to be a disaster... granted, I didn't think it would be THAT big of a disaster.

a True Frosh... in the Swamp... against that defense?... Jones pulled a disperation move and it failed miserably. He may end up being a decent coach, but the call to start Peterman (then leave him in there the whole half) was mind bogling.

Going in it was either start the guy we know that sucks or play the guy we don't know yet.
