You seem upset. I'm sorry for provoking you. You just came outta nowhere in a pretty decent thread with this whole rain on everyone's parade with the whole "who gives a frick" thing. The thread isn't about bama. It's about NS and Miami. No need to be so defensive.

wow.

Same here. Grew up in Nola and saints were my first love but the older I get the less I care about nfl in general. Like a soap opera.

Ask Daniel Tosh what he thinks of Saban. He's a big Dolphins fan.

His writer's are also 'Bama grads/fans (guess that explains the Auburn fan pedophile segment )... that's like a studio divided kind of thing.

Daniel Tosh is not a Florida Gator fan. I am disappointed a bit, as I wanted to show up with a gift-wrapped pair of jorts for our interview. He is, however, a rabid Miami Dolphins fan ... hence his disdain for all things Nick Saban and takes shots at Alabama when he can. So that does give us some ammo. And now we brainstorm.

And as Borden stated in his e-mail to me: He [Tosh] slams our state because he likes to see us get upset.

I was trolling. I've been on a kick lately.

Eta: but to imply he left the league because he didn't have enough control is just ridiculous

Doom and gloom? I doubt that since past two seasons I've predicted correct record. But do tell whose alter you are

I remember lurking a few years ago, going into 2009 you openly stated (along with nuts) that LSU would finish 7-5 and would never beat a nick saban or urban meyer coached team again. You said Miles must go, and that anyone on board with him was accepting mediocrity.

So what happened?

Months later, when Brees was lighting up NFL secondaries and Culpepper was benched, I requested a private interview with Saban to ask, basically, what was going through his cotton-pickin' mind when he picked Culpepper over Brees.

This was the answer he gave me:

''Let me just say this,'' he said in addressing the subject directly for the first time, ``It was a medical decision. I don't think medicine, personnel or any of that is an exact science. I think we have good, professional people in that area. I think they made the best judgment they could make at the time relative to the circumstances. No one could predict the future. It is what it is right now.''

Saban explained that he preferred Brees primarily because getting him didn't include giving up a draft pick. But he said the medical staff's recommendation was not only that Culpepper would have a better chance of recovering in time for the 2006 season than Brees but also that Culpepper would have a smaller chance of sustaining a reinjury.

Miami Dolphin fans really can't stand Nick "Satan". For reference, Joe Rose former Dolphin player has made this really clear about how he feels during his morning radio show. His story about how he was staying and emphatically so to the local press and the fan community and the way he left really left a bad taste in Miami.

I will add to that and will say that the feeling is the same for Michigan State fans as well. Remember he left them right before the Rose Bowl. Underscoring was the fact that the Spartans hadn't been to the Rose Bowl in years.

I met an LSU fan in Durango, Co rafting the Animas river. He came up to me and said we had something in Common. I forgot I was wearing my MSU hat and then noticed his LSU hat.

Definitely bad blood. And especially Dolphin fans don't care about he left for the money. It is strongly felt he screwed them by not taking Drew Brees. Just tune in a about a month to any local sports radio and you'll hear the name.

they were talking about how Nick was the one that wanted to pass on Drew Brees there, in favor of culpepper.

team docs said Brees was a risky investment. He played it safe with Culpepper.

I am sure the diehards there can't be happy with that

my brother is a Dolphins fan and most understand why he did it. Just more bad luck for the franchise.

Saban wasn't fit for the NFL. He is too much of an a-hole.
