I think I speak for everyone when I say our thoughts and prayers are with the Mizzou football team this evening.

I'm curious why qualified your statement with "racial" and not "racist?" Cause I have first hand experience of the racism that exists in MS. Dated a sorority gal from state in college and never imagined I'd hear some of the shite I did. Hell, It's on open display!

All this week has shown me is the reason Mizzou plays better on the road than at home. The players don't fear for their lives outside the state.

WTH are you talking about? "Racist" appears in that unedited post. "Racial" does not.

There's plenty of racism in Mississippi, both sides. (I might argue about MS vs my hometown in TX, the main difference being that it doesn't come up much there because of the ratios. But it is definitely there.) The point was that as bad as Mississippi can be, you absolutely will not find that small of a percentage of black police officers in a town with that large of a black population. It just. does. not. happen. Anybody who thinks that's not a contributing factor to the current mess just hasn't thought it through.

doesn't matter. Ferguson transcends city boundaries. Ferguson is a metaphor of the current state of the union.

It matters.

Now, answer the question.

Will Mizzou fans be hurling racial insults at protestors like Cardinals fans?

It's plain to me that Ferguson is a seriously screwed up town.

It's a town in the middle of a massive demographic shift. Some things will change at different speeds.

Kills, this isn't the place, and it's definitely not the time.

You posted a great thread about your trip to Knoxville, and then you follow it up with this nonsense. Maybe you should take a knee for a bit...

I know for fact, that City of Ferguson would like to have more black police officers. It is difficult to hire, if the pool of applicants does not yield interested, qualified black applicants.

Unfortunately, it is less likely that someone who distrusts law enforcement would choose that work for a career. I do not know what they do in Ferguson to reach out to the kids in school. School Resource Officers would be a good community outreach, if they don't already have such.

Ok. Sorry, I need glasses.

But yeah, that's a fair point about more equal representation. The ratio in ferg is Unbelievable. What town you from, if you don't mind me asking?

The police in the USA are dangerously out of control and all citizens are at risk. Racism is a big factor. The so called "war on drugs" has made criminals out of many millions of non-violent people. Add swat teams and the growing militarization of police and the result is extremely brutal enforcement of socially destructive laws.

This is pretty ironic. Racism is a national problem, and it's worse in some places than it is in others.

Racism is a world thing, to some extent, the least problematic country is the U.S. .... dummass.

You bleeding heart white guilt losers make the brothers and me lol.

Ummmm, yeah, right. Drug violence has nothing to do with any of it. Drug Cartels are such peaceful well-intended organizations. Drug users are such valuable contributors to society.

When a man has to die to give Missouri a chance to win, it's time to rethink having an athletic program.
