butch's success at cincy gave him a much better resume than dooley coming to ut.

i was impressed with what i saw today (minus the general neyland maxims stuff-but whatever works).

he gets a couple classes worth of talent in there and ut's days wandering the desert are over.

Meh...he caught UGA in a letdown game and got lucky that half of the UGA offense went out on a stretcher. He's a complete clown.

We all thought Shula was the man when we played OU and UT close in 2003.

That was the game of the week. Really proud of how we fought during that game and really impressed with the play calls and the ability to execute them.

ETA: We were out 2 DTs, 2 CBs, 1 Slot, and our #2 RB. We didn't lose our starting 2 RBs but we had our share of injuries going into the game

UGA lost much more than two running backs. I have been refraining from posting but I am getting really sick of the misinformation that is out there. We were down are top two running backs and had to play two true freshmen running backs. We were down three or our top four wideouts. We had to play walk ons at wideout because of depth. We lost our punter who is freakin weapon and kick off specialist. On defense, we were down to our third string safety and had to play another true freshman. Despite all this, we still beat Tennessee. Tennessee is not back. If you think Richt got out coached, you don't understand football at all. There aren't many teams in the country that could have overcome that many injuries and still won. We will win in Athens next year by a wide margin. UT will win 5 or 6 games like they typically do.

Sounds like UT's roster except UT's roster and depth is still WAY worse and we have no veteran QB Aaron Murray.

Seriously, would you take Tennessee roster over UGA's roster to finish the season? Ask anyone that question and the answer to that is a frick no.

Reading comprehension, fool. He was talking about how badly Oregon beat us.

You get my respect. Jones is a step up. Tenn is on the right track. Injuries hurt, but they happen. The best team loses sometimes. Tenn fought hard, as did Auburn. Good to see those teams moving forward.

Even a veteran QB like Aaron Murray needs chemistry with his wide receivers. He was throwing to guys he had never thrown to in a game situation before. He also didn't have the running game to help keep the defense honest due to the loss of Gurley and Marshall.

Had you played Georgia at full strength, you would have been beaten by 21+.

Is this how UT fans felt about Dooley after the LSU game? Here's to keeping Butch around a long time.

The circumstances are eerily similar. They get blown out by Oregon after starting off that game somewhat on fire, they barely lose to LSU in a game for the ages, and then they just spiral down hill, finishing the year 6-7.

Dooley and Kiffin were both able to come "close" to winning the big game. Neither were able to really get it done in the end though.

So far, bUTch is no different.

The injuries yesterday had more of a mental impact than anything. When you see multiple teammates go down to what appeared to be very significant injuries, it affects how you play the rest of the game. Any emotion that UGA had in the first half was sucked right out.

Honestly, the receivers getting hurt yesterday hurt more in-game. After they (Bennett especially) went out, Murray was obviously lacking chemistry with his receivers and our offensive flow went out the window.

That said, UT showed a hell of a lot of fight yesterday. It seems like they love playing for Jones.

Even with injuries, would you take Tennessee roster over current UGA's roster? I didn't think so.

UT should have won this game. with phantom pass interference and phantom unnecessary roughness, Aaron Murray had infinite tries at the end zone. Of course they'll eventually make a TD.

Touchback in OT is just about the worst luck you can have, on par with 13 men on the field. Luck plays a huge factor in life including football, and god smiled at UGA last night.

LSU was a herp derp fest for both teams. I saw a perfect execution in the second half yesterday. same outcome but a very different game.

You're guy basically threw the game through the endzone.

That wasn't God.
