The jealousy is great in this one.

Or more likely you are shooting the messenger who brings you the obvious bad news.

Don't go all moist because I dare to state the obvious.

Some of it was great just you went over the top on the fear thing. That is where the jealousy rose it's dreaded head.

Pimp--You've always been one of my favorite posters on TD, but this thread is your best yet.

You are spot on about NS.

And the Bobby Knight/Dale Brown reference is brilliant.

You squeak by on close game that a puff of wind could have changed the outcome and now you are some how high and mighty? Now that is predictable. Corn Dogs. You have to lov'em.

Nicholas Milhouse Saban, playing NOT TO LOSE yet again.

Right and Miles was playing to win? How many trick plays did the mad hatter call? How many times did y'all go for it? How many 50 yard field goals did Miles call?

If one of the three missed field goals had been made, overtime might not have ever happened.

Well hello again Mardigrarita...
Looks like I touched a nerve, huh.
FEAR is enveloping The Crimson Tide faithful.
Their Entire Narrative has been CRUSHED, their Emperor was shown to be paralyzed by FEAR at all the key moments, and they lack the self awareness to notice how in every key game, they play not to lose.
They are awash in FEAR.

The only thing you touched was your ability to be so wrong you think it's right. Seems like we hit a nerve on calling you out on it.

that sack of your QB with the pencil thin mustache was really a puff of wind!

actually it looked like a puff of wind took him before we even touched him. or was it more of that fear?

Wow, you certainly did touch a nerve!!

Since you obviously are very perceptive about the human psyche, perhaps you could be available to lead the gumps in a TD version of group therapy as they begin to see how they have based their self-worth and reason to exist on NS, a paper tiger!!!

Guys like Saban are in constant danger of "losing the locker room".
Especially during times when talent wanes and leadership is down.
"Fear-based" coaching usually has a VERY limited shelf life.
Herb Brooks for instance, was the greatest coach on the planet for ONE YEAR, but one of the worst in year three.

This statement (and thread overall) is terrible but made me think of the great Bud Kilmer

I think I see a resemblance..

There are a few remaining LSU supporters who still think Saban is the Holy Grail, but they are a very small minority. It's a fact that Saban coaches with fear and he's the bully on the playground as well as being an excellent defensive mind and paying assistant coaches large sums of money to tolerate him. He did the same at LSU. Les, during all the hoopla surrounding the game, was never acknowledged as an elite coach. Probably, because he doesn't carry himself as anything other than just another guy with a good job. However, it is also a fact, that Bama fans are obsessed with Saban having coached at LSU. Exhibit 1 --sign at GameDay broadcast: LSU, Losing Saban University...clever, huh? It took some time for Tiger fans to understand Coach Miles because he comes from the Midwest and those folks talk funny compared to us Southerners...but he was man enuff to stick with it and he's proved himself to be able to win the big ones...hopefully, we'll get to the BCS Champ game and win for the SEC...but frankly, LSU fans are happy with Coach Miles and we truly believe that Saban's style of coaching has a limited shelf life that he's real close to reaching at Bama. He does not like criticism and he's getting it from all angles from Bama fans. Just sayin'
