Even the piggies don't doubt it. They know we are their big brother.

I like what TB did when they downsized it.
+ They put the corporate suites at the very top
+ No glass suites means you can hear when the corporate folks cheer
+ Kept the live fans in the lower bowl
+ Made it better without making it a Caddy with curb feelers

More venues in both football and basketball should follow this model

I'm not sure you read all of them.

I read 'em all. Texas and A&M were preferred over Arkansas and Fl. State and Miami were preferred over the Cocks.

There's no shame in not being the first choice. Billy Joel probably wasn't Christie Brinkley's first choice either.

You guys have done well with the platform the SEC provided. It's one Missouri is hoping to follow.

Dunno about that but it's his 4th moaning about the hogs thread in the last few days so he should be getting better at it.

We have a lot of value in tjgator's head for sure.

So everyone would agree that of the four expansion teams, Texas A&M was the best choice?

By far.

Funny. This place thought the grinders were a better program a year ago. I'm glad Aggie greatness is already established fact so quickly. Thanks amd gig em.

Have they, though? A couple upsets over LSU and a Sugar Bowl loss is all I can really think of.

Besides JFF accomplishments what has A&M done?

Absolutely. In 1992 we didn't go after Arky. We were supposed to get tamu. Legislation blocked acquisition of tamu. We got leftovers.

Actually the SEC went after Texas and Arkansas in 1990.

The SEC didn't get Texas because Texas A&M attached themselves to Texas, Baylor-style.

But that's just what Harvey Schiller, SEC Commissioner at the time, says.

Funny how these things work out. TAMU lawyered the system. Kept Tex out. And are now the Razorback's daddy.

And the lesser one will become the greater...

Let's all be honest. A&m was a nice add but Missouri brings nothing. The only reason they are in the sec is no one else wanted in and they needed two teams.

Back then Texas and A&M got together to discuss leaving the SWC. A&M was going to the SEC, and Texas was headed to the PAC-10... however, the rest of the SWC found out, and Anne Richards threw a hissy fit, and the Big XII was formed as a compromise. Never mind that it completely screwed TCU, Houston, and others - Baylor was taken care of. That is why it took A&M twenty years to right that wrong.

There's some great articles out there about it. I was in school back then and remember it REALLY well.

God I hate Arkansas so damn much. But I love hating them, and am glad they're on our schedule every year. It's a weird, mixed emotion.

Enjoy it. After JFF leaves and we whip dat arse in JerryWorld next year, you'll be 2-4 against us since the series resumed.

That's even worse than your all-time average, since you've only beaten us 26 times in 70 meetings.

A&M knows who wears the pants in this little rivalry.
