Dated a Bama girl once. Had a lot of nice times in Tuscaloosa, and the people were very friendly. Had one of the best calzones I've ever had there, in fact. The worst I can say about them is that their cops aren't very understanding if you're 19, extremely drunk, and having a loud conversation about the fact that one of their buildings is named "Ten Hoors". Or maybe it was just "Ten Hoor", but my drunken self preferred the plural.

Seriously, did nobody raise their hand and suggest there might be some problems with that name on a campus filled with obnoxious young adults? If they had, maybe I wouldn't have been cited for public drunkenness by a stern-looking bald campus cop that one time.

I always had a problem with the name of that building too. There are way more than 10 around there. It's very misleading.

That's my ex-girlfriend you're talking about there, you son-of-a-bitch. You're just asking for a slap-fight here.

Sorry, I meant it in the nicest possible way. I'm sure she was very different from all the others.

Eh, it's okay. Now that I think about it, she was suspiciously skilled at sex. I just figured I inspired her to great heights, but as I've grown older, I've started to wonder if that wasn't just me being egotistical.

I have a seething, firey hatred of all things Bama football related... Except the fans (who go to the games).

Actually, with the sole exception of Florida, every SEC fan base I've encountered on game day has at least been cordial.

Most regular game attendees are of the highest brow in the fan base.

I agree with this sentiment. Don't really hate any of these teams. I just enjoy the pleasantries of reading the smack talk on these boards. Wondering why some on here seem to take it so seriously. But Buck Fama.

i agree been to bama more than any away stadium, 03, 05, 07, and 11.....they like to party just like us

its the bama fans who never touch foot in the state, like the ones down here or the ones on the gulf coast that are the shite heads, those are the bad apples

For sure. In Tuscaloosa you don't see many 300 pounders covered in tattoos on a Tuesday in the spring

Upvoted for honesty and no mention of Ole Miss, NCAA or the Death Penalty... This board is turning a corner.

The most enjoyable road trip of my life was to Tuscaloosa. 11/8/1997: Kevin Faulk 168 yds rushing. LSU-27, Bama-0.

The Tide fans were lovely.
