I think most people on this board agree with Ole Miss fans on this topic.

Message I like Ole Miss by NYCAuburn I pay him basic wages, he is here just for an easy job. part of the requirement is he has to have at least 20 hrs a week of employment for his trust fund

So let me get this straight, you have an employee who you know had trouble getting into college because of bad grades, drugs, etc... and the only reason the kid works is to get his trust fund? Have to say, I hope you own a landscaping business or something because if you have a boss, he'd probably tell you you're an idiot for employing uneducated people with no work ethic. I'm assuming you're a liberal. Can't say I'd hire that kind of person, but to each his own I guess.

You must be young

In the old days you went to the game in coat and tie in the south. You also wore a coat and tie when you flew on a plane and you certainly wore a coat and tie to church.

Young enough to raise three kids and recently retire.

Exactly. In the old days. Things change and evolve.

I don't understand why everyone doesn't believe they are the Harvard of the south as they proclaim. Completely baffling.

I grew up an LSU fan in central Mississippi.

I have plenty of reasons to hate them. The whole old south pretentious, elitest attitude that lots of Ole Miss fan have is mind boggling. They look down on LSU fans as somehow a dumber class of people despite LSU being superior in virtually every category including academics.

I have, but it's just such a cringey thing.

It's that desperate, social-climbing white-folks in the Delta culture, through and through. "Please give me the opportunity to convince you that I am not white trash".

It's a strange neurosis.

Look, let's be honest, describing Sunday mornings in the South as a staple is an understatement; a grand social event is more apt. For many, it's simply that, rather than a religious exercise.

This is about as good a description of Sunday mornings in the South as you will find.

Arkansas doesn't hate Ole Miss per se but we do have a very long history with them, I think only LSU and A&M played Arkansas before Ole Miss when it comes to SEC teams.

Interesting tidbit, the last national title that Ole Miss lays claim to was after a 17-13 Sugar Bowl win over Arkansas way back when. We've played them every year since 1980 and I would not be surprised if quiet discussions began between the two schools about Arkansas leaving the SWC well before we packed our bags.

As the Arkansas Delta began its drastic decline in both population and economic might the series cooled off a bit but there is still a very competitive rivalry between the schools in a variety of sports.

As for Ole Miss HC Bucky Beaver... Given how ineffective he's been against Bert I'll be sad to see him go.

This is the part I may disagree. Evolve would indicate moving up the ladder not down it. If you have 3 kids you are aware their generation has not evolved in personal hygiene and communication skills. Seems they are headed down the ladder, not up.
