I understand why Arky, Miss St, and LSU hate them.
Other than that, I don't understand the hate from the rest of the fanbases.
I think its a damn shame that a gimp like Hugh Freeze brought so much turmoil to that program. It will mire them for decades.
For a guy who professes to love Christ so much, he sure did a Roman job on that program.
The fact he hasn't been fired yet is even more cancerous to the legacy of what was a fine program.
You don't have to win NC's to be a great program. You just have to have a great tradition with a good reputation.
That's what Ole Miss had. Great traditions.
Freeze has nailed it all to a cross.
Sad times.

Eh, they are about 2nd to last in the west on most Arkansas fans' "hate list". I'm sure the last few years has some effect on that though.

I don't dislike them either but I think blaming all of the troubles on Freeze is completely inaccurate. They have a lot of rich unscrupulous boosters in the same vein as the REC. Old money types that think the rules should not apply to them.

If they didn't try to take half of the conference down with them then it wouldn't be any hate. I love Ole Miss. I love how the cheat in every sport and nothing to show for it.

I grew up an LSU fan in central Mississippi.
I have plenty of reasons to hate them. The whole old south pretentious, elitest attitude that lots of Ole Miss fan have is mind boggling. They look down on LSU fans as somehow a dumber class of people despite LSU being superior in virtually every category including academics.

IB4 you mad bro

This ^
It's true they've had coaches cheating bad but it starts with their boosters. Their boosters have had their hands in everything and Ole Miss has refused to disassociate those boosters. Until they clean that up you will see the Ncaa hitting them hard and back for a 3rd time.
Just recently more stuff has been uncovered which shows that even after OM received their letter from the Ncaa that even more cheating continued. It is because of what I know about this that I believe the Ncaa is going to reallt hit them hard. Even harder than I already thought.

frick all y'all, we have the next Heisman winner and the best QB in CFB. Our Campus and girls kick everyone's asses in the SEC. Oxford is the 2nd best town behind Athens. Ole Miss is The University of the South, and half of you wish you had half of we have. Don't @ me bro. Goodnight.

Hate? Naw, it's just fun to laugh at them.

Literally none of this is true.

The only reason you like Ole Miss is that we beat you 45-0 this past season, but let you score twice in the last couple minutes against our 4th string. Our coach respects your coach.

What's with the infatuation with Freeze's faith?
Look, let's be honest, describing Sunday mornings in the South as a staple is an understatement; a grand social event is more apt. For many, it's simply that, rather than a religious exercise.
With that said, let's also be honest about the pervasiveness of Saturdays in our culture. Coach Freeze was giving his all towards Saturdays, and if that means he slipped a little with regards to Sundays, so be it. One is clearly more important than the other for most Southerners.
So much for the whole "judge not lest ye be judged" tenet of Christianity.
