It can't be denied. McKinney, Dak, Chris Jones, etc. Our whole Oline is 2 & 3 stars.
Our 5 starting OL combine for 5 stars according to 247. 10 according to composite. Regardless, they are playing to a top 3 in the league level right now, pretty impressive.

Don Shows told everyone Day was the best OL he ever coached. Les passed. Look at the list of OL Shows coached and see how dumb it was to not take him.

Why else would he go to Miss St?
Probably because the offense suits his talents perfectly.
Oh look, Dak just completed another back shoulder throw.

While HS highlight films can make a player look better than they are, Day had an incredible highlight film. He was a terror. I was glad to get him then even if he wasn't highly rated.
Just found it. Part 1: LINK

LSU also had 3 QBs in the 2011 class:
4 star Zach Mettenberger
4 star Jerrard Randall
3 star Stephen Rivers

That isn't my question. He said only two schools offered him a scholly. True or False?
You're so full of shite. You were listening to the Dan Patrick show this morning and he said that the only two SEC SCHOOLS to offer were LSU and State.

He was a project I remember from the discussions back then. Poor evaluation not to take Dak and then take Rivers instead, but shite happens.

I didn't hear that. I heard what schools offered him, not what SEC schools offered him.

He committed to us, blew up his senior year, and LSU offered really late.

This. Mullen kicks arse at finding talent and it drives every school crazy. We have one of the best defenses in the nation and it is cemented together with 2-3* players everyone else was too lazy to evaluate or too proud to offer.

False...
Only 2 SEC schools (MSU & LSU) offered. He had other FBS offers.

I don't find it hard to believe he didn't go to LSU. Knew it was a QB trap that you never escape.

Well you need to go listen again.

Now that's just not right...to be fair, CLM only offers 4 and 5 star QB's to, shall we say, sharpen their skills. He can't waste his time reducing a 3 star QB, there's no "glory" in it.

If this is true, why did it take him six years to put together a decent team?

I seem to remember before LSU came in really late, it was between us and TCU coming off a Rose Bowl.
Guy committed to us early and stuck with it. Thats all there is to it.
