but Tulane's AD said that MSU wasn't "attractive enough" which led to them canceling the 2016 game and paying $350k. Geez, State was #1 in the country for half the season last year and we're still not attractive enough for a regional AAC team.

Since 2006, y'all have played more road games against non-Power Five schools than y'all have played out-of-conference Power Five schools in the regular season. Y'all are the only SEC school to play at UAB, at Troy, at South Alabama, and at Middle Tennessee State.

We are. Its best that we accept it and thank God that the SEC's first commissioner was a former governor of Mississippi that mercifully allowed us to be a charter member.
We're Screech at Bayside High. On the national level, we're still in the cool crowd (SEC), but no one in the cool crowd really cares about us. We'll probably end up shooting heroin and doing porn, but we will still be in the SEC.

Well its true. Mississippi State is really a lot like North Dakota State, New Mexico State, Colorado State, etc. We just happened to be in the Southeastern part of the country when athletic conferences were being formed.
Mississippi State and Kansas State hit the jackpot. Shitty small town colleges that just happened to have well connected friends at the right time. We should be competing for Sun Belt titles and New Orleans Bowls.

Let's see who Tulane puts in our place & whether it is a Home game; but, I think they saw the beating Southern Miss took last year, and are trying to avoid the same.
