No doubt. I am just trying to bring a little reality to the poster patting himself and other Bama fans on the back for being "above it all". There are no doubt a lot of them making it easier on us then expected, but there is a lot of what was expected as well.
It's also silly to compare 2 months of shite talk to 12 hours. They are still in that "I'm going to intentionally be gracious" while LSU fans are still in the "I'm going to go over-the-top negative to soften the blow. Give it a few weeks and when an LSU fan says something a "nice bama fan" doesn't like, we might see a more normal side.
Just my take, anyway. honestly, any grace is appreciated, since this one hurt pretty badly.

A bit cynical, but I can certainly understand. As far as 'nice Bama fans' are concerned, take us individually, and take each post in the context of what they are replying to. Our post histories speak for themselves.

Y'all will definitely be in it. Don't lose all that much, and you'll actually have a qb competition to see who the starter is. I'm sure y'all feel the same way, but personally I'm glad JJ is gone.

Thing is, not all of us are assholes when we win, every fanbase has those idiots. Walking to my hotel last night, I saw a Bama almost start a fight on the street. Rather than walk away from an LSU fan, he just continued to scream 21-0 in his face like an a-hole.

LSU has alot of great players coming back and sometimes you learn more from failure than from success and Les will learn something and take alot away from this game ,"just not the crystal"!!

Was he about 5'7" with a scraggly beard? I may have seen some of that too.
That being said I think it's safe to say both fan bases have some bad eggs, overall the LSU fans seemed very cordial. Had more than a few tell me to enjoy New Orleans and they were glad to have us. A lot more civil fans than bad ones, and all the bad ones were piss drunk.

I usually do. I have a terrible memory, so I am still working out the pathological shitheads from the people who are good generally and just get a jab in every once in a while.
I usually only try to take the friendly stuff seriously anyway.

That's for sure...many of the Tiger fans I know have been acting like LSU invented football, especially since Nov. 5. They've had a great run since 2001 and frankly don't understand the hate their fan base so often directs at Bama.
