I am surprised at Petrino too. I am amazed he couldn't think of a better solution out of the mess other than "flag down help and ask them not to call 911."
The three seconds of thought solution to me would be "call 911, tell them you saw a bike wreck while driving by. OK, now call a friend to pick your arse up and run up the road a mile or so to have them pick you up."
I knew he was a bit sleezy when we hired him and I think he is a GREAT football coach...but I just kind of figured he could think on his feet a bit better than that. Of course driving around on your motorcycle without a helmet while being one of the more recognizable faces in the area all with a six foot blonde on the back doesn't show a lot of foresight either.
