Again, he's wrong because "his data' doesn't prove his point. He claims that even in "down" years alabama had excellent ratings purely because they were alabama. Your data references 2014 only. 2014 was not a down year for alabama. You also reference all ranked opponents that alabama played during that year and the sec championship game so you're discounting the fact that people "tuned" in to see their team, not just alabama.

It is curious. With all the preseason LSU media hype, why is Bama #4 and LSU #14? We can't let it be a distraction. They've got to stay focused. Eye of the Tiger. One game at a time!

Can't wait for this season! Really looking forward to coming back for the Auburn game.

I've also noticed it. Even Alabama fans seem to be sick of hearing about Alabama non-stop, because they've become tolerable as of late. They need a few bad years to get them excited again.
