Zou wins 9-8, stops the Cats rally late. 1-1 series.
Still feel pretty good with Justin Lewis on the mount tomorrow though.

Mizzou is still more interested in baseball than they were 5 years ago. SEC makes baseball fun.

But Arkansas though... when will y'all win shite? Seriously.

Mizzou is one of 5 SEC programs to actually win the college world series.
Kentucky has never even been there..only SEC program to NEVER sniff the CWS.

1-1 series with a Top 15 UK team in the present day, can only find 1960s baseball smack to back it up.
Definitely a Mizzou fan.

It should have the familiar ring of Kentucky football smack.

Not sure you are quite correct here, to imply a sniff means to get at least close
UK has been to the NCAA six times since the late 1980's (as a SEC school where baseball is competitive) while Mizzou got there about twice as many times in an inferior conference. Since Mizzou joined the SEC they have not even been invited by the NCAA while UK was invited in 2014 and will probably be invited in 2017.
While we are happy the Tigers won it in 1954 it was around the same time Harry Truman (also from Missouri) was our president. Mizzou's last trip to the CWS was 1964 and the Johnson administration. Both of these were back in the Big 7 and Big 8 days and long before most on here were even a twinkle in their parents eyes. Save myself, Scrooster, and a few others nobody remembers when Mizzou baseball was relevant.
Christ on a cracker, KU was in the CWS in 1993 and has been 5 times from 1993 to 2014. KU is more relevant in modern baseball than Mizzou and they are an inferior basketball school to UK.

Before speaking so passionately please remember this is SEC baseball and usually a trip to Hoover is not decided till the last week or sometimes the last game of the regular season. Especially when the back end of the season may not bode well for the Tigers
3-0 @ Alabama
1-2 vs Arkansas
0-3 vs Florida
2-1 @ Georgia
1-2 vs Kentucky (with game today)
7-8 or .467 so far
?-? @ Ole Miss (could go 0-3 or 1-2)
?-? vs Texas A&M (could go 0-3 or 1-2)
?-? @ Vanderbilt (could go 3-0 or 0-3 depending on which Dore team shows up)
?-? vs South Carolina (could go 3-0 or 0-3 depending on which Dore team shows up)
?-? @ Tennessee (should be a win but who knows for final games in Knoxville)
The bigger issue is the non conference schedule and all those wins against low RPI teams which will kill the Tigers come selection time.

Won the Georgia series.

Fixed, thanks for catching that.
Knew the Tigers were 7-7 and was wondering why it did not add up. Thought UGA got the series. At my age, memory is not perfect. Should have looked it up the first time to double check.

Didn't know Kentucky was on the bottom of the conference standings.

Cats win the series with a 6-1 win today.
I believe State on the road is the only series we've dropped thus far. Not bad for a bunch of baseball bottom feeders.

Who was the president in 1954? Seem to be sooooooooo long ago. Also, remind me if Mizzou ever won the SEC in baseball. Thanks.

Mizzou has as many CWS appearences as kentucky has trips to a regional.

So, Mizzou has not a SEC title. Thanks for clarification. Nice series, that 20 game win streak still did not match Kentucky's 22.
Posted on 4/16/17 at 3:14 pm to WildcatMike
Mizzou has only played 4 complete SEC seasons in baseball.

So, besides a individual wrestling title and Truman era baseball title, Mizzou has nothing? shite, since that baseball title, Kentucky has won 4 nattys in basketball. But, please crow on how great Mizzou athletics and academics (herp, Mizzou ranked 111th) are.
Just to be clear, Kentucky has beaten you in the major 3 this past year.
