I Bleed Garnet......let me help you. Just remind tthe HawggyFans that 2 of the 9 bowl wins that was the SEC streak versus TheOSU came from USC and then thank them for blowing the run.

They still went to the Sugar Bowl

I think also we can both relate to the products are teams are showing on the field.
We are both in the top 10 but have yet to really play like a top 10 team. You guys lost Lattimore, we lost Davis. No one really knows what is going to happen this weekend in our game. At least I don't. You guys have a good defense so I am not talking much and just going to watch.

My thoughts exactly.Should be a great game. We played our most complete game (4 quarters of football) last year against you guys...I hope we can do that again this year.

The way I see it SC-Arky could be ranked #1 and #2 while playing each other for the next 5 seasons and still wouldn't consider each other rivals. They didn't play each other until they both joined the SEC and they are too far apart to have any real fan base interaction outside of the games themselves so there is rarely any animosity between the two.
As for SC fans not being arrogant.. lets put it this way.. you don't have to be a Gamecock long to realize that blind optimism and team praise only leads to misery. So even in times that we do well I think you will find that most Gamecocks are cautious to say the least.
