Congrats to the cam fans, undisputed MVP. Didn't like him at AU and few yrs after, but damn, I respect him. Will be cheering for him 2 weeks from now.

So an announcement wasn't made in the stadium. One of the assistants didn't let the team know on the sideline. They didn't find out at half time?

Announcement was likely made in the stadium (didn't get to watch much of the game), but I'm pretty sure the coaches wanted the team as dialed in on this game as possible, and that includes halftime and the second half. You win this game, nothing else matters, you are going to the Superbowl.

When the Saints play in just a regular season game, Brees pretty much focuses on every aspect of his game at all times. Looking at formations, coverages, etc.

I absolutely believe it. That's the kind of stuff Saban calls "clutter"

Saban (and Urban Meyer last year) didn't know who won the earlier games in the first round of the CFB Playoffs. Saban said that he didn't know Clemson won until after the celebrations started in Dallas.

How would he know?

Well, the score displayed in the stadium should have been his first hint.

You think he watched it in the huddle? Maybe while he was in the shotgun?

Did Saban lie when he said he didn't know that Clemson beat Oklahoma?

This is stupid and doesn't matter but you know he knew before their game was over just like Saban knew it would be Clemson even though they had been in game prep during the Clemson Oklahoma game. Why is this a thread anyway?

To be fair, I was watching them talk after the Denver game and did not even realize the other game had started.

Surprised there was not some kind of delay.

I'm pretty sure the FSU game ended during the Alabama game. We all, Alabama and OSU fans, went NUTS. The stadium erupted. I might be able to see how a coach could ignore that stuff, but I can't imagine a player not knowing who won. There were most likely goofy members of the team dancing around, openly talking about who won the earlier game. They want to focus, but these guys aren't robots.

So in short, Saban wasn't lying and Cam was?

I'd suspect everyone but you. IIRC, several Bama players did not know Clemson beat Oklahoma until after the Sparty game.

In both cases, they had more important things to do at the time.

Possibly. Maybe not. We'll never know.

If you don't think the Panthers or Cardinals knew who won the early game then I just don't know what to tell you.

Yeah because it's completely impossible that they were only focused on their game at the time.

There's a reason you guys are well known as the most naïve fanbase in the conference.
