Miss St. literally suits up 7 or 8 guys. How does that happen?

Imagine if Calipari got fired or retired for one reason or another and 7 of your top 9 players in minutes decide to declare/gradutate/transfer. Then imagine one of those 2 of the top 9 from last year getting hurt second game of the year. Then a player got suspended for three games. Then the other only returning player got hurt. That's what happened to us.

I guess, to you, if Bama wins the NC game in January it doesn't mean anything because of all the 0-1 win SEC teams this year. LSU's 07 title doesn't mean anything because they had 2 SEC losses, etc.

apples and oranges, basketball and football

so go post in a thread about the tournament, this is a thread about the strength of the entire SEC in basketball

And? I presented data showing how the SEC was a strong league on a national scale in the 90s.

Meanwhile you want to continue your argument on the 80s when Kentucky was down and LSU was the tallest midget. Present some facts to back up your argument or STFU.

8 relevant teams>>>>>>>>3 relevant teams

Top 10 recruiting classes don't mean shite if he can't coach worth a lick. LSU should have never fired Brady, that guy could coach.

You are an idiot.

Brady fell right into the category of coaches who could recruit but couldn't coach. Johhny Jones is a good X's and O's coach as well, and has surrounded himself with great assistants

Uhhh what? This is Johnny's first year. He has LSU on the upswing with a top 5 recruiting class.
ETA: lulz you think Brady was good

And that guy that no one has ever heard of does more with seven scholoarship players than Stansbury could do with a full roster and a bucket of KFC. But your cousin-fricking arse can't see that. Honestly Dale, what State fan took your cousin from you?

What happened?

Basketball is very competitive across the country and the SEC has not put enough resources in as a conference and from individual schools to get to the top level.
Does Mike Slive even care about basketball? The money is in football, and I think that is where 95% of the focus at schools is.
except Kentucky.

Auburn is terrible again.

You say that after we get our second-leading scorer back and have won our last two games by a combined 65.

And three of our losses came down to one possession.

DANG IT WE'RE NOT THE WORST ANYMORE

RAy will be fine for the foreseeable future. Everybody knew he inherited an abortion from Stansbury. He will have a long leash. Our team, xcept for the UNC game has been competative. Only losing by 8 to Loyola with their full squad is a testiment to how much coaching he can do. I can't wait to see him with a full squad of his kids. Kids that aren't lil' bitches like Stansbury would field.

Mizzou hires a shitty Acc coach and becomes the highest seed to lose in NCAA Tourney history. Jury still out.

That shitty ACC coach led the team to a 30-win regular season. Yeah, we got embarrassed in the tournament, but the season was outstanding, and we brought the Big 12 trophy to the SEC with us. So I'm not sure how you call that shitty.

Jury is still out? Yeah, I'll give you that. We'll see how we do the next couple of years. But he's recruiting well.

Parity is a lot easier to achieve in basketball than in football, so smaller schools can compete better. But with the resources in the SEC, and the fan bases that are passionate about their schools, there is no reason we couldn't dominate basketball just like we do football.

There is only a big3 in basketball, it is an exclusive club, one that will not be inviting new members anytime soon.
