Nope, he'll be back. If he would've had good games against L.S.U., A&M and UGA then maybe.

AJ has regressed the last half of the year. He will be back in 2013.

Wouldnt be an awful idea. This draft as a whole is extremely weak, QB being the weakest position. The analysts are saying a QB wont be drafted earlier than 20, and maybe only one in the entire 1st rd. I just dont see it. In the end, it is still the most valuable position on the field. AJ could have a good NC game and do well at the combine, maybe get selected in the first 50 picks. Not likely but demand for QB may not be any different next year.

Not sure if serious?

Last 6 games of regular season, not including SECCG:

89 comp 133 att 67% Comp% 13td 2int

Had his struggles vs LSU and drove the team for a win and vs TAMU had them 1st and goal. Played better teams but regressed is a little much in my book

Saban and staff already got him a new set of bow ties for next season. AJ stays.

Disagree. Either way you won't know till after he plays ND. Torching ND did wonders for Jamarcus Russell's draft stock in 06.

Yes, and I think the women on campus, especially in this region are lovely, but the gals gunning for Pro Athletes are in a different league.

I think AJ is a good QB. I am actually surprised he wants to return.

He hurt his status by playing poorly down the stretch. He's probably a 4th rounder right now. But if he's consistent and efficient all next year (like he was the first half of this season) he'll be a solid 2nd rounder and could sneak into the 1st.

Me too, I mean he's arguably the most successful QB in Alabama History...So we Bama fans can be happy about the return of a QB in that argument.

Totally agree with all of that. I think he moves up quite a few spots coming back.

AJ is efficient and is better than the two previous bama QB's. Needs really good O-line to perform well. Mett will most certainly be a better prospect going into the draft next year.

Yes i am happy.

He is 24-2 as a starter.

45 td's
8 int's

McCarron leads the nation in passing efficiency headed into the BCS championship game against Notre Dame on Jan. 7 in Miami, and he was MVP of the BCS championship game against LSU last season.
