Or one named MVP of their bowl game. Only one more person in all cfb had more forced fumbles than him. If you count the two times he tackled the QB and sent the ball into the air where it was int'd then he ties for the most forced fumbles. That is near impossible when you are over hyped. Your arrogance is showing

I think Bama fans are expecting alot out of Jessie Williams and I just don't see it playing out that way. I don't see a dominant D-lineman from Bama this year. Better hope Upshaw stays healthy all year and Hightower returns to pre injury form if that defense is gonna live up to the hype.

Yeah, he was so great last time too... We abused both him and russel .

When's the last time you beat us btw ? 1999 when your rb crawled 3 yards on his knees for a TD. in today's rules it would have been reveiwed and overturned.

He was known as an amazing cover corner in high school.

I believe he was rated #1 in coverage skills by the recruiting services

I'm just saying Tyrann is overrated is relation to how LSU fans talk about him. LSU fans have some instinctual need to glorify defensive players, and with PP7 gone, they have turned to Tyrann to fill that void. I've seen many LSU fans say he's the next PP7, or is the best freshman defensive back they've ever seen, etc...

I think he's a solid player but is too short and and doesn't have the speed to be a top lockdown corner. Keep him in the nickel or move him to safety like that MSU fan was saying and he will be less of a liability.

You act like he blitzed every play last year. He dropped into coverage tons and held his own for the most part. He was known as an amazing cover corner in high school.

Like you said before, opposing fans don't get to watch LSU that much. I watched LSU play AU, Bama, and Texas A&M. I didn't watch him closely besides when he blitzed like a mad man (which he's pretty good at), so I'm not gonna make judgement. That's all I was saying

didn't our second best WR basically just walk right by that slow midget?

Knile Davis will definitely disappoint. Mallett gone will put more pressure on him. And yeah, Petrino says the new starter is better than Mallett, blah, blah, blah. Can't make up for experience.

And to everyone saying Tyrann. Guy is a turnover creating machine.

Tyrann will be decent, but not all SEC good like LSU fans are clamoring. Some think he will be Peterson good. He is kind of overratted.

I haven't heard anyone, LSU fan or otherwise, foolish enough to compare TM or anyone else in the league to Peterson. As for All SEC, he already made the All league Freshman team so it would be foolish to bet against him taking one step up. The irony is he may not even start at corner because Claiborne and Simon are actually just as good or better in single coverage. T-Rex will likely continue to perform mostly at the nickel but will be on the field 75% of the time on defense. Anyone can be overrated by a given person or group. Generally speaking, TM is probably not overrated by the real knowledgeable fans who realize he may not even start.

His career thus far dwarfs what Peterson had done at this time of his career. By the time he leaves he may have the best stats of any LSU DB in our history. He is our top db with Peterson gone. He has now switched to petersons number. He knows what that brings and is ready for it apparently. Time will tell, but with Claiborne out fir the spring he will be getting reps at the number 1 CB spot with Brooks and Simon
