Dilfer also said that Tua is one of the 3 best talents he's seen come through the elite 11.

Wouldn't put a whole lot of stock in Elite 11. Sean White won the Elite 11 before coming to Auburn.

He just turned 18 and has a rocket arm. Just inaccurate as shite. He'll work on it. Bama has basically the whole Offense coming back.

I thought the JJ comparison was a good one.

I just checked the list of Elite 11 MVP's and there are a lot of flops in there. Almost the equivalent of winning the Par 3 challenge of the masters. Stafford and Winston are the best of the bunch in the Pros.

Hes worse than Nick Marshall at overthrowing. At least Nick hit a decent amount of those throws

Which likely means you're either trolling or just an idiot. Even Jefferson at his best made Hurts look like Peyton Manning.

Just imagine you're a freshman QB playing in a NC game and Saban looks up at you says "just don't throw an interception". I'd overthrow everyone by a mile. I think he wasn't ready for that much pressure. They haven't let him do a lot this season, partly because they haven't had to.

He's like the Jordan Jefferson of Alabama but with a better on the field attitude. Dude isn't very good at passing. Hard to envision him beating teams with his arm anytime soon

He's 10x the athlete Jefferson was/is.

I'm sure you did but he was arguably one of the worst if not THE worst QB in the last 10 years. One is nothing like other consider JH just won SEC player of the year.

Good question..... maybe we should ask you about your last few QBs.

Go ahead. We can admit when our QBs suck. We don't base our entire lives on college football because we were not total douche bag losers all our lives. Sad that the same can't be said about Bama fans.

AJ Mc Carron early on did the same thing and got better. Blake Sims looked as bad in the spring as I had ever seen, hell I could have thrown it better.

Hurts has the work ethic, the coaching, the facilities, desire to improve and a strong arm. He will get better too.

I will say this for Hurts, he is one of the coolest looking people in a tight game. Completely emotionless on the sidelines

This is exactly what i can't stand about him. The offense feeds off of emotion and leadership of the qb.
(Jake Coker last year good example) Hurts has no emotion, just a blank stare. I predict he's not starting next year.

.Word.

Background - My oldest shares the same birthdate as Hurts; I'll use if for comparison - She is currently a junior in high school.

We all know Jalen graduated early to join Alabama. I'm grateful. We were within a cat's whisker of winning it all - and some games were won because of #2 on the field. I'm amazed at his ability and poise - this coming from someone who played major college football. We didn't lose the game due to him. We almost won because of him. No, he his first name isn't Chad or Austin but he made plays on the biggest stage few people could imagine - while most of his friends still couldn't vote.

Even if his mechanics need to be re-tooled, he's at a program which will spend the time and money to develop him. He is young enough to work with.

All fans of other teams (looking at you tiger-fans) should head back to their 'safe-spaces', because they know nothing about the hurt I suspect they're in for within the next couple of years.

Worse than the overthrows were the wide open guys he never looked towards or found. There were guys running around open all night and Hurts never even looked at them.

you do realize you just described Jordan Jefferson, J.Lee and Brandon Harris. Alabama now has their version of these QB in Hurts.

SEC fans are going to be really upset when Hurts matures as a QB.

It may look like cool to some, to me it looks scared shitless.

I think Hurts looked like JJ more than any other QB in a natty ever has, but to be honest, he probably has a better arm.

So I would grade him closer to a BH:

Equipped, but with wack mechanics and too much fear to overcome any of it.
