How many teams in the SEC will adopt part of the HUNH Offense next year ? After OK adopted it in less than a month in preperation for the Sugar Bowl, I think you will see many teams in the SEC working on that this Spring. The West has A&M, Ole Miss and MSU running a version of it, how long before we see the East shifting toward it ?

Well for starters, Oklahoma has been running a no huddle offense for years.

I think virtually everyone will do it more often, but for most teams it will still not be their primary speed of offense. More and more teams are not really hurry up (thought they are no huddle) - they like to get to the line quick and then either go fast or read the defense and get the play from the sideline. A&M does the true hurry up (where the QB does not need to get the play from the sideline) more than anyone else. I don't think most coaches will want to give that kind of control to their QB.

Never. The East would never except some heathen offense in their ranks.

Oklahoma ran a fast pace Offense, but they ran almost identical plays that AU ran, for the Sugar Bowl. Everyone thinks it was just the pace of the game that made the HUNH work, they overlook the scheme.

Not LSU, especially with a new QB. Cam and Les like to play ball control. Although towards the middle of the season I would expect a little up tempo at times. No true HUNH though.

Were they running their no huddle offense in hurry-up mode though? I know OU has been no huddle for a while but how long have they been HUNH?

OU has been VERY fast for years. A few years ago, they were CRAZY fast.

I'd imagine it will be like the Wildcat fad.

Again, the HUNH that Gus runs is not just pace.

Of course there are different ways to run a HUNH. That's not the point. All an offense needs to do to qualify as a HUNH is to run, as their primary offense, a scheme in which they do not huddle, and snap the ball very early in the play clock. That it. If a team is doing that (as their primary offense), they are running a HUNH.

Also, all HUNH teams are willing to slow the offense down when they think they need to, for whatever reason.

can someone please point to a team that does this that has won the BCS title? I don't recall AU in 2010 running it like they did in 2013.

So if you claim AU won it in 2010 with a HUNH then can you share another team in the BSC era who has won it

At least a couple of teams have gotten to the NC game running it (OU and AU). Until recently, though, virtually zero teams with the kind of talent necessary to win the NC were willing to try it. Give it more time, and you will see NC teams running it.
